Abstract

abstract : Problems that arise regarding the quality of education require educational institutions to be able to overcome various existing challenges. Educational institutions continuously improve quality with the aim that educational goals can be realized. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the efforts made by schools to achieve quality education. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through direct interviews based on information from sources who are experts in the field studied. The results showed that improving the quality of education in an institution is very important. Efforts to improve quality in educational institutions are carried out by improving quality in various aspects that support the smooth running of educational activities. The quality improvement in question is in the areas of curriculum, human resources, school facilities and infrastructure, and students. In addition, the role of the school principal is considered important in improving the quality of educational institutions, especially the role of the principal in managerial and supervisory matters.abstrak : Permasalahan yang timbul mengenai mutu pendidikan menuntut lembaga pendidikan untuk mampu mengatasi berbagai tantangan yang ada. Lembaga pendidikan secara terus-menerus melakukan peningkatan kualitas dengan tujuan agar tujuan pendidikan dapat terwujud. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini yaitu untuk mengetahui usaha yang dilakukan sekolah untuk mencapai mutu pendidikan. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan jenis pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui kegiatan wawancara secara langsung berdasar informasi narasumber yang ahli pada bidang yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peningkatan mutu pendidikan pada suatu lembaga sangat penting dilakukan. Upaya peningkatan mutu di lembaga pendidikan dilakukan dengan meningkatkan kualitas pada berbagai aspek yang mendukung lancarnya kegiatan pendidikan. Peningkatan mutu yang dimaksud yaitu pada bidang kurikulum, SDM, sarana dan prasarana sekolah, dan peserta didik. Selain itu, peran kepala sekolah dinilai penting dalam peningkatan mutu pada lembaga pendidikan terutama peran kepala sekolah dalam hal manajerial dan supervisor.
