Along with the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK), current educators and students need to improve the quality of education to be able to compete. Therefore, learning media is needed that can increase understanding by using interactive power points . The research aims to test the effectiveness of using powerpoint learning media on chemical bond material to improve the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA 14 Padang City. This research method uses experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control-Group Design research design . The population in this study were all students in class X Science at SMA 14 Padang City, consisting of 5 classes in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique was carried out using the purposive sampling method . The research instrument is a multiple choice test that has been tested for validity, reliability, question discrimination and a good difficulty index. Data were analyzed using the n-gain test and hypothesis testing with the independent sample t-test . The results of data analysis show that the experimental class has a higher n-gain compared to the control class in the medium category. Apart from that, the results of the hypothesis test show a significance value (sig) of less than 0.05, so H 1 is accepted and H 0 is rejected. From the results of this data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of interactive Powerpoint learning media on chemical bond material is effective in improving high school/MA student learning outcomes.

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes in hydrocarbon material class XI. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. The population in this study was the entire class XI MAN South Tapanuli. Sampling was done by random sampling. Class XI MIA 1 using guided inquiry learning model and class XI MIA 2 using conventional learning model. . The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice consisting of 20 items. Obtained post-test results with an average of 71.71 experimental class and 61.43 control class. Based on the t test obtained th tt which is 3.9691.997. Indicates the influence due to differences in student learning outcomes using guided inquiry learning models better than conventional learning models on the subject matter of chemical equilibrium class XI.

This research is motivated by students' learning motivation which is still in the low category. Giving reward and punishment to students aims to motivate students so that they learn better. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of reward and punishment on students' learning motivation in stoichiometry material. The subjects of this study were 10th grade students at public high school at Pekanbaru City, Indonesia. This study using a purposive sampling technique with consideration of classes having low learning motivation and obtained first class as an experimental class and second class as a control. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Final data analysis in this study using the t test. From the results obtained, the value of t-count = -3.720 and t-table = 2.04 at a significant level of 5% and Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001. From this study it was concluded that t-count t-table and Sig. (2–tailed) 0.05. So the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect of reward and punishment on student motivation in stoichiometric material with an effect coefficient of 10.12%.

This study aims to determine the impact of using gadgets on high school students' learning motivation in high school chemistry lessons. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research is research that is intended to reveal symptoms as a whole and in accordance with the context or what they are through collecting data with a natural background as a direct source with the key research instruments themselves. So in this study the researchers conducted observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1) the use of gadgets among high school students, especially in chemistry lessons, is used as a communication aid in increasing student learning motivation such as the use of practicum videos and animations. But there are some students who often play games rather than study. 2) the positive impact of using gadgets, students are able to get information and communication easily while the negative impact of using gadgets during class hours can interfere with student learning concentration so that it can affect student learning behavior. Most students often open the internet and communicate for less useful things that can interfere with the learning process. So that it makes students' learning motivation decrease.
