Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara membuat alat musik kolintang Melulu menurut Loudewik Supit Kaligis. Untuk mencapai tujuan, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan data deskriptif dalam bentuk kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari subjek yang diamati. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara langsung dengan Bapak Loudewik Supit Kaligis. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumnetasi langsung. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa cara membuat alat musik Kolintang Melulu memilih jenis kayu yang digunakan adalah kayu telur, bandaran, wenang, kakinik atau jenis kayu lain yang ringan tetapi tetap memiliki tekstur padat dan serat kayunya tersusun rapih membentuk garis-garis horizontal. Pada mulanya, alat musik ini hanya terdiri dari beberapa potong kayu yang dijajar di kaki pemainnya yang duduk di tanah. Setelah itu, kayu pohon yang sudah ditentukan, kemudian kayu-kayu itu dikeringkan terlebih dahulu. Setelah selesai dikeringkan, barulah kayu-kayu itu dibelah sesuai dengan nada Kolintang yang ingin dihasilkan. Proses selanjutnya melibatkan proses pembuatan kotak resonansi dan penyeteman alat musik kolintang. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas terhadap proses pembuatan alat musik kolintang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dan menggambarkan proses pembelajaran seni musik di SMP Negeri 1 Tumpaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk mengungkap temuan lapangan dan menjelaskan data yang terkumpul. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Tumpaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan studi perekaman. Penelitian ini melalui serangkaian tahapan observasi yang dimulai pada tanggal 02 Februari 2023, dengan menggunakan alat bantu seperti kamera dan perekam suara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan disajikan dalam bentuk naratif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran seni musik di SMP Negeri 1 Tumpaan menghadapi tantangan terkait sarana dan prasarana yang terbatas. Meskipun demikian, metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan menunjukkan upaya untuk menciptakan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, terdapat ruang bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan inklusif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar siswa secara lebih efektif. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tambahan bagi guru dan sekolah dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dalam seni musik.

Abstract

Di Desa Bawoleu, musik berperan penting bagi remaja. Lagu-lagu populer yang berkembang di kalangan mereka memiliki karakter yang beragam, mulai dari gembira hingga melankolis. Fenomena menarik terkait aktivitas mendengarkan musik juga terlihat di kalangan remaja desa Bawoleu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh musik terhadap perilaku remaja di Desa Bawoleu, Kecamatan Tagulandang Utara, Kabupaten Sitaro. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan observasi lapangan, wawancara, dokumentasi, perekaman serta studi pustaka. Lokasi penelitian yang dipilih adalah Desa Bawoleu dan objek penelitian yang akan diteliti dan diwawancarai adalah remaja setempat dengan waktu penelitian kurang lebih dua bulan, terhitung sejak 18 Juli 2023 sampai 01 September 2023. Analisis data yang berlangsung sebelum, selama dan sesudah penelitian melibatkan langkah-langkah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Batasan teori dalam penelitian ini mencakup dua aspek utama, yaitu psikologi remaja dan psikologi musik.  Musik menjadi salah satu sarana pengekspresian diri yang paling berpengaruh bagi remaja khususnya di desa Bawoleu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik telah menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari kehidupan remaja di desa Bawoleu. Musik telah memberikan dampak positif maupun negatif bagi remaja, baik secara individu maupun sosial. Meskipun perilaku remaja dipengaruhi dari berbagai faktor, tetapi musik menjadi salah satu pengaruh yang berhubungan dengan perilaku remaja di desa Bawoleu.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of understanding and explaining how tempo is applied in singing choir songs that do not have tempo markings. Tempo, in this context, refers to the speed or slowness with which a musical composition is sung, either by human vocals or musical instruments. To measure the speed of a song, a tool called a Maezel Metronome is used. Tempo markings can be classified into several groups, such as very slow, not very slow, medium, fast, and very fast tempos. This study is conducted using the qualitative research method in which the data collection is carried out through library research and observation. The obtained data are then validated through the process of categorization, editing, analysis and conclusion. The validated data are analyze using he theory of tempo proposed by Perry Rumengan. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through literature study and observation. The research results show that tempo has an important role in the context of choirs. In applying tempo to Choir songs, it is necessary to pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics, the ideas conveyed, the melody and rhythm movement, the time structure, expression techniques, as well as the style and genre of the music concerned.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the roles and functions of the worship singers at the New Jerusalem Bether Church Indonesia in Kampung Lebo. To achieve this goal, data collection tools such as observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation were employed. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, with the objective of identifying the outcomes obtained in the field. In this study, the researcher utilized theories that support the research, serving as the foundation for investigating the roles and functions of singers in worship at the Indonesian Bethel Church in Kampung Lebo. The research has elucidated the roles and functions of singers in the worship of the New Jerusamlem Bether Church Indonesia in Kampung Lebo. The researcher discovered several aspects regarding the roles and functions of singers, including the significant role of backing vocalists in the progression of worship, their ability to assist the song leader in leading worship, the importance of singers being pitch-perfect, their capacity to provide harmony and vocal energy in every song, the ability to transform the worship atmosphere to avoid monotony, guiding the congregation in singing, providing enthusiasm, and making the congregation feel engaged during worship. The data were obtained through interviews with singers and the pastor.

Abstract

This study is conducted to analyze the historical development of the Group Gema Dirgantara Liwutung as the group of bamboo clarinet music. This research uses a qualitative approach and the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documents. Data analysis is done after the data is collected then classified, interpreted and described in the form of words. The results of this study indicate that Bamboo Clarinet Music is the most influential art in community activities in Liwutung village. For example a wedding event, in the event Bamboo Clarinet Music plays an important role when the groom will go to the bride's house and pick her up then go to the house of worship (church) and at the peak of the wedding there is a Polynesian dance accompanied by Bamboo Music. In addition, Bamboo Music is not only used for village activities but is also often invited to various events outside the region and nationally with achievements, namely the golden Indonesia commemoration event at the State Palace in 1995, Makasar Trevel Mart in 1996, and the birthday of Jayapura city in 2015. Based on the research results, the author suggests: 1) There needs to be a forum for routine/planning performances in an event or concert, so that Bamboo Music is known more widely; 2) There needs to be successors to play bamboo music; 3) The need for regular training, so that in an event or concert the preparation is very mature.This study is conducted to analyze the historical development of the Group Gema Dirgantara Liwutung as the group of bamboo clarinet music. Abstract

This research is intended to provide an overview of the Kakula Music Playing Pattern as a Traditional Music of the Kaili Tribe of Central Sulawesi Province. Kakula is a traditional music of Kaili tribe (native tribe of Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method in which this research is carried out with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation methods. The findings show that Kakula as the music instrument have a long history with the people of Kaili Tribe. The Kakula music have various functions for the people of Kaili Tribe. Hence, Kakula is a form of presentation of ensemble music with rhythmic patterns that are different from one another.
