Abstract

The problem of student graduation in higher education is one of the most essential things in showing the quality of learning in higher education, especially on the Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS) campus. The purpose of this research is to compare three algorithm methods, namely C4.5, Naive Bayes, and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), which is better at predicting the timeliness of student graduation using RapidMiner tools with the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) method. The dataset used by the three classifications is 330 Informatics student data. Based on the comparison of the three algorithms with data splitting techniques, it is found that the C4.5 algorithm produces an accuracy of 73.49% with a precision of 64.62% and a recall of 41.89%. The Naive Bayes algorithm produces an accuracy of 72.79% with a precision of 64.06% and a recall of 38.11%. Meanwhile, the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm produces an accuracy of 76.08% with a precision of 73.11% and a recall of 41.92%. From the comparison of the three algorithms, the most appropriate for predicting the timeliness of student graduation is the K-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis multimedia saat ini memegang peran penting sebagai sarana komunikasi dalam penyampaian materi yang efektif digunakan tenaga pengajar. Pemanfaatan multimedia bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang aktif, mendorong kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah, membangun pengetahuan, serta menggali pengetahuan secara lebih mendalam bagi peserta didik. Peran multimedia tidak hanya sekedar sarana penyampaian informasi, tetapi menciptakan ruang belajar yang aktif dan kreatif.  Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Poto Tano (SMPN) menjalin kolaborasi dengan Fakultas Rekayasa Sistem melaksanakan kegiatan workshop tentang Teknologi Pembelajaran Berbasis Multimedia di Berbagai Platform. Pada kegiatan workshop diikuti oleh guru dan staf tata usaha dengan jumlah 13 peserta. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan guru sehingga dapat diimplementasikan.

Abstract

This research aims to design a computerize library information system at SMKN 1 Buer to replace the manual system still used in managing book collections, recording transactions, and generating reports. The existing manual system is deemed inefficient, prone to recording errors, and complicates the process of searching and data recapitulation. The methodology used in this research is a mixed-methods approach, with data collection techniques including interviews and documentation. The system design was carried out using an object-oriented approach with the help of Unified Modelling Language (UML) tools, which include use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and ERD. Admins and members can use the web-based digital library system for login, borrowing, returning, and printing reports, thanks to the design results. This system is expected to improve service efficiency and data accuracy and facilitate users in accessing library information online.
