<![CDATA[Residents still have a low understanding of the proper use of medicines due to the lack of knowledge among residents about DaGuSiBu medicines (Get, Use, Store and Dispose of Medicines). DaGuSiBu drug education was needed thus residents have a better understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu in Buli Village, Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. This research method was a quasi-experimental design (Quasi-experimental design) with a one group pre and posttest design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling by using the Slovin formula which obtained a sample of 100 respondents. The research instrument uses the DaGuSiBu knowledge questionnaire which was valid and reliable. Education was carried out with the help of leaflets and counseling with presentations. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon signed rank test analysis. The results showed that before education the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge about DaGuSiBu medicine (70%) and after education the majority of respondents had good knowledge (89%). The results of the bivariate analysis obtained a significance value (p value) of 0,000 <0,05, meaning that there was an influence of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu. The conclusion on this research that there was an influence of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu in Buli Village, Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. ABSTRAK Pemahaman penggunaan obat secara tepat yang masih rendah dari warga dikarenakan minimnya pengetahuan warga mengenai DaGuSiBu obat (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan dan Buang obat). Edukasi DaGuSiBu obat dibutuhkan agar warga menjadi memiliki pemahaman lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian ini guna melihat pengaruh edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang DaGuSiBu di Desa Buli Kecamatan Maba Kabupaten Halmahera Timur. Metode penelitian ini ialah metode eksperimen semu (Quasi – Experimental design) dengan rancangan One group pretest-posttest. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin sehingga diperoleh 100 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Edukasi dilakukan dengan bantuan leaflet dan penyuluhan dengan presentasi. Teknik analisis data memakai analisis Wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil penelitian terlihat sebelum dilakukan edukasi sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan cukup tentang DaGuSiBu obat (70%) dan sesudah dilakukan edukasi mayoritas responden mempunyai pengetahuan baik (89%). Hasil analisa bivariat diperoleh nilai signifikansi (p value) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 berarti terdapat pengaruh edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan terkait DaGuSiBu obat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang DaGuSiBu di Desa Buli Kecamatan Maba Kabupaten Halmahera Timur.]]>
