Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is a crucial aspect of enhancing organizational productivity and effectiveness. This research aims to develop a more robust performance appraisal system for factory operators at PT. Polyland Indoteknik Bandung employs the Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scales (BARS) method. Through an analysis of the existing appraisal system, this study found that the sole use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is insufficient to measure complex behavioral aspects. Therefore, BARS is proposed as a more comprehensive method. The designed BARS system incorporates specific behavioral indicators relevant to the job of factory operators. Additionally, this research outlines an implementation strategy involving socialization, integration with existing systems, feedback provision, and periodic evaluation. The results indicate that BARS can improve the quality of performance appraisals and provide more constructive feedback to employees.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles in placing Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) members into civil servant positions in Ministries/Agencies, specifically at the State Secretariat Ministry. The research focuses on assessing the impact of this placement on employee performance, with GCG aiming to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the process. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, the study involves in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders and analysis of internal documents. The findings suggest that placing TNI members in civil servant roles can enhance discipline, efficiency, and effectiveness, bringing in specialized expertise. However, challenges such as cultural differences, lack of bureaucratic experience, and potential conflicts of interest also emerge. The study emphasizes the importance of consistent GCG implementation, including transparent selection processes, accountability in performance evaluations, and robust training programs. It also suggests mitigation strategies to address integration challenges, such as orientation programs, forming integration teams, and fostering greater awareness. The research concludes that while the policy has positive and negative aspects, practical GCG application and proper mitigation are key to maximizing benefits and minimizing risks

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of various TikTok content types on the purchase decision of Kopi Kenangan among Generation Z consumers, with engagement rate serving as a moderating variable. As one of the most dominant social media platforms among Gen Z, TikTok offers unique marketing opportunities through short-form, interactive, and viral content. Employing a quantitative and causal research design, this study collected data from 167 Gen Z respondents in Jabodetabek who have been exposed to Kopi Kenangan's TikTok content. The content types examined include product reviews, challenges & hashtags, storytelling & brand awareness, and promotional content. Purchase decisions were measured using indicators such as buying intention, brand preference, recommendation, actual purchase, and post-purchase satisfaction. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with a two-stage moderation approach. Findings reveal that all four types of TikTok content positively influence purchase decisions, with product reviews exerting the strongest impact. Furthermore, engagement rate significantly moderates the relationship between specific content types and purchase decisions. The study offers valuable insights for F&B digital marketers in crafting TikTok content strategies that are both engaging and conversion-driven.
