Abstract

This study was conducted to find out about the role of mothers in instilling eating ethics in early childhood according to Islam. The data from this study were collected through analysis and observation and using literature methods. The purpose of the study was to discuss how mothers teach eating ethics to children with Islamic teachings, get children used to good and correct eating ethics, and reprimand (conflict mediator) children when they waste food. This really needs to be discussed and studied to find out what role mothers play in instilling eating ethics in early childhood according to Islam.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of service and teaching carried out by students at the North Sumatra State Islamic University, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Early Childhood Education Study Program at Al-Arham Kindergarten, Negori Siluluh Huta 3 Sigogar Village. Community service through early childhood education (PIAUD) is a form of academic assistance in improving the quality of elementary level education. This service and teaching activity aims to increase the competency of kindergarten teachers in implementing learning methods that are creative, innovative and appropriate to the developmental needs of early childhood. The program implemented includes teacher training on a scientific approach, which means the learning process has been designed in such a way that students are more active in learning, then there is also game-based learning, as well as strengthening character education in early childhood. Apart from that, counseling is also provided to parents to support children's development at home. The results of this program show an increase in teachers' knowledge and skills in teaching as well as increased collaboration between the school and parents in supporting children's development. The implications of this activity are expected to be able to create a more effective and enjoyable learning environment for children in kindergarten, as well as supporting their holistic development. This research uses a qualitative method using 3 stages in implementing community service activities, namely 1) Observation, 2) Interviews and 3) Data collection. Abstract

This study aims to improve the creativity of children aged 5-6 years through three-color jumputan batik art activities at An-Nida Kindergarten. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. This study involved 11 children as subjects, consisting of 2 boys and 9 girls. The three-color jumputan batik activity was chosen because it can stimulate creativity, fine motor skills, and children's color exploration abilities. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's creativity after following the action cycle. In the pre-action, the average percentage of children's creativity was 36%, categorized as Not Developing (BB). In the first cycle, it increased to 58%, categorized as Still Developing (MB), and in the second cycle, it reached 89%, categorized as Very Well Developing (BSB). This indicates that the three-color jumputan batik activity is effective in improving children's creativity. This study contributes to the development of creative learning methods for early childhood education, as well as opening up opportunities to use traditional Indonesian art in education to foster a love of culture in children.
