Abstract

Understanding simple concepts (scientific concepts) was one of important understanding in aspects of cognitive development for early childhood. Children were trained to think actively and critically in order to understand they activities, namely by applying a constructivist approach or guided discovey learning. However in Azzahra Preschool Kindergarten has not applied a guided discovey learning. It considered to be a factor in children’s low understanding of science concepts. Therefore, this research aimed to improve the children's understanding of science concepts by applying guided discovery learning. This research used a classroom action research with two cycles. Subject of this research is all of children group B in Azzahra Preschool Kindergarten. And the results show that the guided discovery learning can improved children’s understanding of science concept. This is based on percentage score of children’s understanding of science concept which is increasing in each cycle. Other findings of this research showed that children were eager to learn, curiosity was increasing, and active to conduct experiments to discover various simple concepts. So, this research was recommended that apply the guided discovery learning model to develop various aspects of the child.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1) find out the steps of mind mapping-based character development for early childhood, 2) steps to implement mind mapping-based character development in early childhood, 3) increase the character of children after the application of mind mapping based character development models in early childhood, and 4) the response of teachers and parents to the use of mind mapping-based character development models in early childhood. This research uses research and development methods. The results of this research show: 1) The steps of character development based on mind mapping begin with the preparation of the Teacher's Guide Book and Student Worksheets and are validated by first time education material experts, graphic design, and the Indonesian liguist in a very valid category, 2) the steps of implementing the model consisting of preparation, implementation and evaluation, 3) Test results The model shows that the use of mind mapping-based character development models in early childhood can develop children's character significantly with thit 17.038> from 2.46 at 95% significance level, and 4) teachers and parents assess this model is suitable for developing children's character

Abstract

Akhlaq al Karimah is the best gift parents give to their children, therefore they always choose quality schools to help them educate, especially the noble character of their children. But various studies show that schools are not fully able to replace the position of parents as educators. Therefore, when school always cooperates with parents in parenting activities to jointly educate children's Akhlaq al Karimah. The purpose of the study was to obtain information about parents' dan school’s views on parenting activities carried out to equip them to educate their children's noble character at home. This research was conducted on 10 parents of RA An Nida students. Collecting data using observation and interviews with qualitative data analysis. The results showed that parents have a positive view of parenting activities carried out by schools that help them educate their children's Akhlaq al Karimah at home.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the gross motor improvement of early childhood byusing the method of playing coconut shell stilts. This research is a classroom actionresearch. In cycle I it was found that gross motor skills of early childhood 68% ofchildren who were able to classically or 17 children who completed learning and 8 morechildren who were not yet completed, had not yet achieved the predetermined successcriteria of 80% of children overall, caused by : lack of teachers 'ability to direct earlychildhood in playing coconut shells, lack of teachers' ability to manage time and childrenlack enthusiasm to use coconut shells. In the second cycle, improvements were made,namely: giving examples according to the steps to play coconut shell stilts, the resultsobtained in this second cycle were 92% of early childhood or 23 children were able toplay coconut shells in a classical manner. As a result the child was seen active in theprocess of motor learning in the RA Al-Hidayah group B Medan. The impact can be seenin mastery of motion and ultimately can improve the gross motor skills of children. Theimplication of this research is that teachers in RA Al-Hidayah Medan are expected to usecoconut shells as a method to improve gross motor skills of early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of early childhood worship education in parenting activities in RA Aisyah Az-Zahra and develop steps to develop models of worship education in parenting activities. Although the focus of research is on RA Aisyah Az-Zahra. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. Mass product is the final product which is carried out by providing research results in the form of research reports in the form of journals and modules in the form of manuals and then disseminated by publishing journals and publishing modules. The product produced in this study is a parent guide module for early childhood worship education models.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to increase early childhood’s social competence by using role playing method. The study was conducted at Raudhatul Athfal al-Muhajirin in Medan in the year of 2010 with n = 24. This classroom action research was using Kemmis and Taggart (1997) model with three cycles. Each cycle has four steps. They are follows: 1) plan; 2) action; 3) observe; and 4) reflect. To analyze the data, qualitative and quantitative research method were used. The result of the qualitative analysis shows that the role playing method conducted with three steps are personification role playing, role playing with media, and role playing with social condition. The result of the quantitative analysis shows that there are significant differences between pre and post assessment of early childhood’s social competence.ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sosial anak usia dini dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran. Penelitian dilakukan di Raudhatul Athfal al-Muhajirin pada tahun 2010 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 24 orang anak. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model dari Kemmis (1997) dan Taggart dengan tiga siklus. Setiap siklus memiliki empat langkah yaitu: 1) perencanaan; 2) tindakan; 3) pengamatan; dan 4) refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa metode bermain peran dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu bermain peran personifikasi, bermain peran berdua dengan menggunakan media, dan bermain peran dengan situasi sosial. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata antara asesmen awal dan akhir tiap siklus pada nilai kompetensi sosial anak usia dini.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to make early childhood’s moral competence optimally through the integrated learning based-moral model. The study was conducted at Tri Karya and Nusa Indah Kindergartens in Medan in the year of 2008 with n= 35. This action research was using Kemmis and Taggart model. The model has two cycles and each cycle has four steps. They are as follow (1) plan, (2) action, (3) observe and (4) reflect. To analyze the data, qualitative and quantitative were used. The result of the qualitative analyzes shows that the integrated learning based-moral model involved various activities, media and methods. The results of the quantitative analyze shows that there are significant differences between pre and post assessment of early childhood’s moral competence. To applying the integrated learning based-moral model was suggested to teacher, manager of early childhood education institution, researcher, government to plan, act, develop, and promote integrated learning based-moral model.ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan kompetensi moral anak usia dini melalui pembelajaran terpadu berbasis moral. Penelitian dilakukan di Taman Kanak-kanak Tri Karya dan Taman Kanak-kanak Nusa Indah di Medan pada tahun 2008 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 35 orang anak. Penelitian tindakan ini menggunakan model dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Model ini telah dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus memiliki empat langkah yaitu: 1) perencanaan, 2) tindakan, 3) pengamatan, dan 4) refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran terpadu berbasis moral melibatkan berbagai aktivitas, media, dan metode. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang berarti antara tes awal dan tes akhir kompetensi moral anak usia dini. Untuk menerapkan pembelajaran terpadu berbasis moral disarankan kepada guru, pengelola pendidikan anak usia dini, peneliti, dan pemerintah untuk merencanakan, melaksanakan, mengembangkan dan mendukung model pembelajaran terpadu berbasis moral.

Abstract

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Perumusan program tilawah Alquran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan baca Alquran siswa di MAS al Ma‟sum Stabat, 2) Pelaksanaan program tilawah Alquran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan baca Alquran siswa di MAS al Ma‟sum Stabat, 3) Evaluasi program tilawah Alquran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan baca Alquran siswa di MAS al Ma‟sum Stabat. Pengumpulan data penelitian dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu 1) Perumusan program tilawah dilakukan di MAS Al Ma‟sum Stabat pada awal tahun pembelajaran yang didukung oleh berbagai pihak, seperti: kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah guru tilwah, guru-guru, bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran siswa, materi yang diberikan disesuaikan dengan peringatan hari besar Islam dan perayaan besar lainnya, 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran program tilawah Alquran dilakukan hari Rabu sampai Jum‟at pada jam 14.30 sampai Shalat „Asar. 3) Proses evaluasi pelaksanaan program tilawah Alquran di MAS Al Ma‟sum Stabat dilakukan setiap pembelajaran dan diakhir semester yang dimana guru tilawah mengadakan tes membaca Alquran secara tilawah.This research aims to know the 1) The formulation of the qur‟anic recitations of program to improve the student ability of reading qur'an in Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Ma‟sum Stabat, 2) The implementation of the qur‟anic recitations of program to improve the student ability of reading qur'an in Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Ma‟sum Stabat, 3) The evaluation of the qur‟anic recitations of program to improve the student ability of reading qur'an in Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Ma‟sum Stabat. Research methods used are the qualitative approach with descriptive method. The results of this research is 1) The formulation of the qur‟anic recitations of program done in Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Ma‟sum Stabat is in the early years of learning supported by various parties, for example: The Head Of The Madrasa, Deputy Head of the madrasa, teacher's recitations, teachers, with the aim of to improve the student ability of reading qur'an, the material being taught adapted to the major Islamic observances and Another great celebration, 2) The implementation of the qur‟anic recitations of program implemented on the Wednesday to Friday at 14.30 until Praying 'Asr. class X on the Wednesday, class XI on the Thursday and class XII on the Thursday. 3) Process of evaluation of of the qur‟anic recitations of program in Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Ma‟sum Stabat implemented each of the learning and the end of the semester, the teacher held a Koran reading test recitations in recitations.Kata Kunci: Tilawah Alquran, Kemampuan Membaca Alquran

Abstract

Orang tua mempunyai banyak peran, diantaranya yaitu sebagai pendidik dan pembina sikap pada anak. Namun tidak semua orang tua memahami materi pembinaan sikap yang dibutuhkan anak pada usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan model alternatif parenting Islami di lembaga PAUD yang valid dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan yang menghasilkan produk berbentuk buku panduan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 6 (enam) bulan. Uji coba produk dilakukan di RA Milda Wiranti, RA An Nida dan TK IT Bunayya 7. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan produk berbentuk buku panduan sebagai model alternatif parenting Islami pada lembaga PAUD. Dari hasil penelitian, buku panduan terbukti valid sehingga dapat disosialisasikan pada 20 sekolah PAUD/ sederajat yang berada di wilayah kabupaten Deli Serdang dan kota Medan. Buku panduan model alternatif parenting Islami dinilai sangat dibutuhkan orang tua, siswa ataupun pihak lembaga PAUD, khususnya lembaga PAUD berbasis Islam

Abstract

Social Distancing dan pembelajaran jarak jauh menjadi hal familiar sejak pandemi covid-19. Begitupun, sistem pembelajaran era new normal mulai dikondisikan dengan mengikut kebijakan pada tiap-tiap daerah, terutama bagi anak usia dini. Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisa persepsi guru tentang social distancing dan pola pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada PAUD era new normal di RA/TK Kab. Aceh Tenggara. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode field research dipilih dalam tulisan ini untuk mengungkap data dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumen. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa (1) guru memandang bahwa social distancing adalah pembatasan jarak sosial sementara karena pandemi, untuk itu pendidikan pada AUD di RA/TK Kab. Aceh Tenggara mengalami 3 kali transisi pola, mulai dari via WhatsApp Group (WAG), belajar kunjungan dan sistem bergilir; dan (2) platform social distancing pada PAUD di era new normal meliputi aspek pembelajaran, penugasan dan penilaian.
