Abstract

Karakteristik pembelajaran anak usia dini, dijadikan acuan sebagai proses kegiatan belajar mengajar. Materi angka salah satu yang masih mempunyai kendala pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Matematika dasar perlu dikenalkan pada peserta didik, dengan tujuan supaya anak dapat mengetahui jumlah benda serta mengenal angka, sehingga kemampuan matematika dasar pada anjak dapat ditingkatkan, salah satunya melalui media pembelajaran yaitu spindle box. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan media spindle box dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematika dasar kelompok A. Metode R&D digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Subjek penelitian dilakukan pada anak kelompok A, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, serta angket validasi. Data yang diperoleh, dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis dan statistik data kualitatif deskriptif. Data ini didapat dari penilaian produk berupa saran dan masukan dari ahli, dan analisis data berupa jumlah skor yang dihitung menggunakan teknik statistik dari hasil penilaian angket. Berdasarkan hasil validitas kelayakan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh  93,6% dengan kategori "layak". Penilaian guru terhadap media spindle box memperoleh  82,5% dengan kategori "layak". Kemudian peningkatan kemampuan matematika dasar pada anak didapatkan hasil sebesar 83% dengan kategori berkembang sesuai harapan. Hasil ini menunjukkan pengembangan media spindle box dinyatakan sangat "layak.".   The characteristics of early childhood learning are used as a reference for the process of teaching and learning activities. Number material is one of the things that still has problems in learning activities. Basic mathematics needs to be introduced to students, with the aim that children can know the number of objects and recognize numbers so that basic mathematical abilities in factoring can be improved, one of which is through learning media, namely the spindle box. This research aims to determine the feasibility of developing spindle box media to improve the basic mathematical abilities of group A. The R&D method used in this research is the Borg and Gall development model. The research subjects were group A children; data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation, and validation questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive qualitative data analysis and statistical techniques. This data is obtained from product assessments in the form of suggestions and input from experts and data analysis in the form of total scores calculated using statistical techniques from the results of questionnaire assessments. Based on the results of feasibility validity by material experts and media experts, it was obtained 93.6% in the "feasible" category. The teacher's assessment of the spindle box media was 82.5% in the "decent" category. Then the result of increasing basic mathematics skills in children was 83%, with the category developing as expected. These results show that the development of spindle box media is declared very "feasible.".
