Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of language errors in persuasive speech texts for class 9J students at SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya". The aim of this research is to find out language errors in persuasive texts. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used in the research are words in persuasive texts that experience errors in aspects of phonology, morphology and spelling. The technique used in this research is the listening and note-taking technique. This listening technique is used to obtain data by reading and listening to the use of language in the form of speech texts written by students, then the note-taking technique, namely writing down errors in the speech texts written by students. The results of the research show that the types of language errors that are most often found are errors in word usage, word selection and sentence construction that do not comply with correct Indonesian language rules. Factors causing this error include students' lack of understanding of language rules, as well as the influence of informal, everyday language habits. It's hoped that this research can provide insight into teaching Indonesian in schools, especially in improving the quality of students' written persuasive texts..

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Indonesian grammar coaching through language quizzes and examine its effectiveness in improving the language skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Nyantong. The background of this study is based on the low ability of students to understand and use standard words, spelling, and punctuation in accordance with the applicable rules of Indonesian language. This condition requires more interesting, creative, and interactive learning innovations so that students are more motivated to learn grammar. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities carried out in the classroom. The results showed that coaching activities through language quizzes increased students' activity, motivation, and interest in learning Indonesian. Through these activities, the learning process became more enjoyable and interactive, encouraging students to participate actively and express their opinions. Students showed a significant improvement in the correct use of standard words, spelling, and punctuation in both written and spoken contexts. However, there were still obstacles in the form of difficulties in distinguishing between standard and non-standard words and errors in the use of prepositions due to the influence of everyday language habits. Overall, language quizzes have proven to be an effective and relevant innovative learning strategy for improving Indonesian grammar skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sebuah naskah drama dan meningkatkan minat pembaca terhadap naskah drama, khususnya karya Saini KM, serta menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis terhadap masalah sosial yang diangkat. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis naskah drama. Objek kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah naskah drama Ben Go Tun karya Saini KM. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah kondisi sosial yang tercermin dalam naskah Ben Go Tun. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra dipilih karena mengkaji sastra sebagai fenomena sosial. Naskah drama Ben Go Tun karya Saini KM menggambarkan masalah sosial yang terjadi seperti status sosial, diskriminasi, dan kejahatan sosial pada masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah pada era Orde Baru. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kritik sosial terhadap penghormatan berlebihan terhadap status sosial. Tindakan kejahatan sosial dan pelanggaran norma yang digambarkan mencerminkan realita sosial yang relevan dengan kondisi masyarakat saat ini. Drama ini tidak hanya memberikan hiburan tetapi juga memberikan pelajaran sosial melalui refleksi dalam karya sastra.
