Abstract

Abstract: The theme of character is a crucial discussion for Christians, as it is closely related to daily behavior. However, it cannot be denied that, in reality, there are still Christians who live contrary to God's Word, indulging in the pleasures of sin, immorality, lust, anger, envy, and selfishness, failing to reflect the righteous behavior of Christ in their daily lives. This research will focus on the nature of the growing Christian character from Peter's perspective, as an apostolic teaching relevant for today. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, the results of this research explain that the growing Christian character according to Peter is without blemish and stain before God, submissive to the authority of leaders, and living in brotherly love. Thus, it provides a correct understanding to believers so that in any situation, as those who have received God's grace, they should continue to reflect the character of Christ. Abstrak : Tema karakter adalah diskusi yang sangat penting bagi umat Kristen, karena erat kaitannya dengan perilaku sehari-hari. Akan tetapi tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa pada kenyataanya masih ditemukan adanya orang Kristen yang hidup menyimpang dari firman Tuhan dengan hidup di dalam kenikmatan dosa kenajisan, hawa nafsu, amarah, iri hati, mementingkan diri sendiri dan tidak mencerminkan perilaku hidup yang benar serupa Kristus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini akan berfokus seperti apakah karakater Kristen yang bertumbuh menurut perspektif Petrus. Sebagai ajaran apostolik untuk zaman postmodern. Dengan mempergunakan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa karakter Kristen yang bertumbuh menurut Petrus adalah tidak bercacat dan bernoda di hadapan Allah, tunduk pada otoritas pemimpin dan hidup dalam kasih persaudaraan. Dengan demikian memberikan pemahaman yang benar kepada orang percaya sehingga dalam situasi apa pun, sebagai orang yang telah menerima anugerah Tuhan, harus tetap dan terus mencerminkan karakter Kristus.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of improving the quality of Christian religious education (PAK) that can develop students' potential holistically through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with the aim of improving understanding of cultural mandates. The CTL learning strategy aims to integrate understanding of cultural mandates with the real-life contexts of students in order to achieve effective and meaningful learning. This study used qualitative methods, with data obtained through a literature study utilizing various sources that could answer the research objectives. The results of this study indicate that the application of CTL learning strategies can increase student engagement and understanding of cultural mandates and strengthen the relevance of PAK learning materials in everyday life.
