Abstract

A hotel is one of the places needed as lodging facilities. The selection of a hotel is indispensable to the goals and needs of the visitor. In addition, a strategic location and a comfortable atmosphere are also considerations. The lack of information about hotels is one of the problems for visitors when it comes to a city to determine the desired hotel. This study develops a Decision Support System (SPK) to choose the best hotel in Medan City using the Outranking RElation Sorting method on basis of Threshold Exploration (ORESTE). This system is designed to assist visitors in choosing a hotel that meets the desired criteria. The Outranking RElation Sorting method on basis of Threshold Exploration (ORESTE) is used to determine the weight of each attribute and perform alternative ranking of hotels. In this study, the criteria used include the type of hotel, location, facilities, service and price. This system is expected to help visitors in making more precise and objective decisions. The results of the study show that this SPK system can help visitors in choosing the best hotel that suits their needs.

Abstract

Angkutan barang menggunakan Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) swasta pada tahun 2022 merupakan salah satu moda transportasi yang berperan penting dalam mendukung kelancaran distribusi logistik. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pengelolaan angkutan barang menghadapi berbagai ketidakpastian, seperti variasi volume muatan, ketepatan waktu pengiriman, dan biaya operasional yang berubah-ubah. Kondisi tersebut menyulitkan pihak pengelola dalam melakukan penilaian kinerja dan pengambilan keputusan secara akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode Fuzzy Sugeno sebagai sistem pendukung keputusan dalam menilai kinerja angkutan barang KAI swasta tahun 2022. Variabel input yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi volume angkutan, ketepatan waktu, dan biaya operasional, sedangkan output yang dihasilkan berupa nilai kinerja angkutan barang. Metode Fuzzy Sugeno dipilih karena mampu mengolah data yang bersifat tidak pasti dan menghasilkan output yang tegas (crisp) berdasarkan aturan fuzzy yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Fuzzy Sugeno dapat digunakan secara efektif untuk membantu penilaian kinerja angkutan barang KAI swasta, sehingga dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas layanan angkutan barang.

Abstract

This study describes the development of a web-based Archival Information System aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of managing incoming and outgoing correspondence at the Teluk Nibung Sub-District Office in Tanjungbalai City. The system enhances administrative workflows by digitizing key processes, including the receipt, verification, recording, and archiving of incoming letters, as well as the preparation and distribution of outgoing letters. Management of incoming and outgoing documents is handled separately to ensure systematic processing and to reduce errors commonly found in manual administration. Developed using web-based technologies and supported by a MySQL database, the system enables flexible access, automated data storage, and faster document retrieval. The implementation results indicate notable improvements in administrative performance, such as quicker processing times, reduced reliance on paper-based archives, and improved data security. Overall, the system supports the modernization of public sector administration and contributes to more effective, reliable, and sustainable archival management practices at the sub-district office level.
