Abstract

The development of information technology has changed the way people conduct transactions, especially in electronic commerce (e-commerce). Although online transactions provide convenience, various legal issues arise related to consumer protection, such as fraud, nonconforming goods, and difficulties in returning goods. This study aims to analyze legal protection for consumers in online transactions in Indonesia based on applicable laws and regulations, as well as to identify the challenges faced and solutions that can be applied. The research method used is qualitative with a normative legal approach. The results of the study show that although there are several regulations such as the Consumer Protection Law and the ITE Law, implementation in the field is still weak, especially in terms of law enforcement and consumer awareness. Synergy is needed between the government, business actors, and consumers to create a safe and fair ecommerce ecosystem. This article recommends improving regulations and increasing legal education and literacy for the community.

Abstract

Corruption is a crucial problem that hampers national development and undermines public trust in the government. This article discusses the role of law in combating corruption in Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores the effectiveness of legal instruments, institutions, and challenges in their implementation. Law has a strategic function as a tool of social control and a repressive mechanism to provide a deterrent effect to perpetrators of corruption. However, bureaucratic complexity, weak law enforcement, and a permissive culture towards corruption are still major obstacles. The discussion of the article focuses on the role of anti-corruption laws, law enforcement institutions such as the KPK, and the influence of legal reform in strengthening integrity and accountability. This study concludes that although there has been progress in legal instruments and institutions, the role of law has not been maximized without political commitment and public participation. Therefore, collaboration between legal actors and civil society elements is crucial to creating an effective anti-corruption system.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the 21st century demands learning that emphasizes not only content mastery but also the development of critical, collaborative, creative, and communicative thinking skills. Elementary schools, as the primary level of education, have a strategic role in instilling these skills from an early age. This study aims to systematically examine 21st-century learning strategies and their relevance to improving the achievement of Basic Competencies (BC) in elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative literature study by analyzing scientific sources from journals, books, and educational policy documents published in the last five years. The results of the study indicate that strategies such as Project-Based Learning, flipped classrooms, and the STEAM approach are highly effective in encouraging the achievement of BC holistically. However, challenges in implementation remain, such as limited teacher competency, lack of supporting infrastructure, and the lack of systemic integration of innovative approaches into the curriculum. Therefore, policy support, strengthening educator capacity, and the provision of a collaborative learning ecosystem are needed to optimize these strategies. This study has important implications for the development of basic learning that is adaptive and relevant to the needs of the times.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in enhancing creativity in elementary school students through a literature review. The approach used was a qualitative literature review method, involving the analysis of various relevant studies published in the last five years (2019–2024). Data were collected from scientific articles, journals, and proceedings obtained through academic databases such as Google Scholar and ResearchGate with keywords related to PjBL and elementary school students' creativity. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that PjBL can encourage the development of student creativity through active involvement in problem-solving, collaborative work, and the creation of authentic products. This model has also been shown to enhance dimensions of creativity, namely fluency of ideas, flexibility of thinking, originality, and elaboration. The success of PjBL is influenced by several factors, such as the role of the teacher as a facilitator, the use of real-world contexts, and process- and product-based assessments. Despite implementation challenges, utilizing local resources and structured project planning can be practical solutions. Thus, PjBL is recommended as an innovative learning strategy to support the development of 21st century skills, especially creativity, at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital learning media in increasing elementary school students' learning interest through a literature review. The method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques on various relevant scientific sources, including journal articles, proceedings, and books published in the last five years (2019–2024). The results of the study indicate that the use of digital media, such as interactive videos, animations, educational games, and learning applications, contributes positively to increasing learning interest through attractive, interactive, and contextual presentations. Student learning interest increases when digital media is combined with appropriate pedagogical strategies, such as constructivist-based learning, blended learning, and simple gamification. However, the success of digital media implementation is also influenced by supporting factors such as teacher competence, technological infrastructure, and media design that is appropriate to student characteristics. This study emphasizes the need for ongoing teacher training, media development based on instructional design principles, and a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of digital media on learning interest. With appropriate implementation, digital learning media has the potential to create more meaningful learning experiences and foster positive attitudes towards long-term learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal responsibility of business owners in the case of work accidents and the implications of existing regulations on worker protection. Using a normative juridical approach, this study identifies and analyzes the legal provisions that govern the responsibilities of business owners based on applicable legislation, including the Manpower Law and related government regulations. Data was collected through literature studies that included legal literature, official documents, and analysis of court decisions relevant to work accident cases. The results of the study show that business owners have a significant responsibility in maintaining occupational safety, where a good understanding of regulations and the implementation of safety policies greatly affects the compliance of business owners. The study also identified that there are obstacles for business owners, especially small-scale ones, in meeting their legal obligations related to occupational safety. Therefore, this study recommends increased socialization regarding occupational safety regulations, as well as support for business owners to better understand and fulfill their legal obligations. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the development of labor laws that are more responsive and effective in protecting workers' rights, as well as creating a safer work environment
Public Whipping Punishment for Adultery Offenders in Aceh: A Study on the Application of Islamic Criminal Law and International Human Rights Nurul Fadhilah; Samsidar Samsidar

Abstract

This study discusses the legal legitimacy of public whipping in Aceh as part of the legal specificity regulated through Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning the Government of Aceh. This specificity provides a constitutional basis for Aceh to implement Islamic law-based law through Qanun Jinayat, especially Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning the Jinayat Law which regulates the punishment for certain criminal acts, including adultery. Although normatively legitimate because it is underpinned by asymmetric decentralization mechanisms, the practice of public caning is controversial from a human rights perspective. Indonesia has ratified the ICCPR through Law Number 12 of 2005, so it is bound by the prohibition of cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment. This condition creates a normative tension between Islamic sharia principles that emphasize social morality and international human rights principles that emphasize individual dignity. The research uses normative juridical methods with a legislative and conceptual approach, and analyzes the relationship between Islamic law, national law, and international law. The results of the study show the need for a more contextual reconstruction of punishment, emphasizing maqāṣid al-syarī'ah as a meeting point between religious values and human rights principles. Alternatives such as closed executions or rehabilitative punishment can be a solution so that the application of jinayat law remains relevant without causing serious contradictions. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of humanistic, transformative, and substantive justice regulatory innovation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of political parties in the consolidation of democracy in Indonesia through a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The political transition after the 1998 reform has opened up a more open democratic space, but has not yet fully produced substantive democracy. Political parties as the main pillars of democracy should carry out the functions of interest aggregation, political education, cadre formation, and supervision of the government. However, various literatures show that political parties in Indonesia still face various challenges, such as oligarchic dominance, weak internal democracy, low quality of cadre recruitment, and a tendency towards political pragmatism. This study uses secondary data from journal articles, academic books, and reports from credible institutions which are systematically analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that political parties have not been able to become effective agents of democratic consolidation due to the lack of party institutionalization and low political literacy of the community. Therefore, a comprehensive reform of the party system is needed through institutional strengthening, internal transparency, and encouragement of more inclusive political participation. This study provides a conceptual understanding of the institutional obstacles to Indonesia's democratization and recommends strategic steps to realize democracy that is not only procedural, but also substantive and sustaina
