Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to determine the effects of irrigation water quantity level and growing media on water content, growth pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) and water use efficiency using drip irrigation systems. The method used in this research was Random Group Factorial Design using two factors which were the irrigation water quantity level and the growing media. The observed parameters were water content, water use efficiency, temperature, relative humidity, plant height, number of leaves and stover weight. The reseach result showed that the pakcoy plant best water use efficiency was at A3B4 treatment (irrigation water quantity 110% with growing media compound ultisol soil, charcoal husk and fern fertilizer)which was 4.351 kg/m3 with 104.67 grams wet pakcoy plant stover and the most inefficient pakcoy plant water use was at A1B1 treatment (irrigation water quantity 90% with growing media compound ultisol soil, and husk charcoal) with water use efficiency was 1.389 kg/m3 and 27.33 grams wet pakcoy plant stover AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah pemberian air dan berbagai media tanam terhadap kadar air, pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) dan efisiensi penggunaan air dengan sistem irigasi tetes. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan dua faktorial yaitu Faktor jumlah pemberian air dan Faktor media tanam. Parameter yang diamatiadalah kadar air, efisiensi penggunaan air, suhu, kelembaban relatif, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan berat berangkasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efisiensi penggunaan air terbaik pada tanaman pakcoy yaitu terdapat pada perlakuan A3B4 dengan pemberian air 110% media tanam berupa campuran tanah ultisol, arang sekam, dan pupuk pakis sebesar 4,351 kg/m3 dengan berat brangkasan basah tanaman pakcoy104,67 gram. Penggunaan air paling tidak efisien pada tanaman pakcoy terdapat pada perlakuan A1B1 dengan pemberian air 90% pada media tanam tanah ultisol dan arang sekam sebesar 1,389 kg/m3 danberat brangkasan basah tanaman pakcoy 27,33 gram.

Abstract

The research objective was to design and test of stove using agricultural waste biomass fuel. Engineering design was used in this research. The collected data was presented and tabular and graphical forms. This research was consisted of design, fabrication, technical test and perfomance analysis of stove which used agricultural waste biomass fuel. The observed parameters were combustion operational time, fuel consumption rate, specific gasification rate, combustion efficiency, heat energy input and ash percentage. Results showed that the highest combustion operational time was found on rice husk with magnitude of 0.43 hour and the lowest was found on wood chips with magnitude of 0.22 hour. The highest fuel consumption and gasification rates were found on wood chips with magnitude of 3.92 kg/h and 74.81 kg/m2h, whereas the lowest was found on rice husk with magnitude of 2.33 kg/h and 44.01 kg/m2h. The highest heat energy input value was found on wood chips with magnitude of 5,033.34 kcal, whereas the lowest was found on rice husks with magnitude of 3,411.29 kcal. The highest combustion efficiency was found on rice husk with magnitude of 4.67 % and the lowest was found on acacia leaves of 3.04 %. The highest ash percentage was found at rice husk with magnitude of 30 % and the lowest of 15 % was found on wood chips

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodifikasi sistem hidroponik rakit apung menggunakan pipa Deep Film Techinique (DFT) untuk menghasilkan produksi tanaman yang optimal dan perawatan yang lebih mudah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode rancangan dan observasi untuk memodifikasi hidroponik rakit apung menggunakan pipa DFT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman dengan rata-rata batang tertinggi terdapat pada L5 (talang 5) yaitu 3,5 cm, jumlah daun rata-rata paling banyak terdapat pada L2 (talang 2) dan L4 (talang 4) yaitu 11 helai, akar rata-rata paling panjang terdapat pada L1 (talang 1)  yaitu 47,6 cm, berat segar dengan rata-rata tertinggi terdapat  pada L2 (talang 2) yaitu 64,4 g. Hidroponik rakit apung dengan pipa DFT ini dapat digunakan dengan baik, namun sebaiknya penambahan pompa air disarankan supaya perakaran tanaman dapat menyerap oksigen secara merata sehingga pertumbuhan tanaman dapat seragam. The research aims to modify the hydroponic design of the floating raft system using Deep Film Techinique (DFT) pipes so as to produce optimal plant production and easier maintenance. The research method used were design and observation method to modify floating raft hydroponics using DFT pipes. The results showed that the plant with the highest average stem were found at L5 which was 3.5 cm, the average number of leaves were mostly found at L2 and L4 which were 11 leaves, the longest average root were found at L1 which were 47.6 cm , fresh weight with the highest average were found at L2, which were 64.4 g. Hydroponic floating rafts with DFT pipes can be used properly, but the addition of water pumps is recommended so that plant rooting can absorb oxygen evenly so that plant growth can be uniform.
