Abstract

The quality of life for people who suffer from low back pain (LBP) is significantly reduced, making it a major worldwide health concern. Patients with LBP frequently have comorbid diseases like hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which can exacerbate pain and make therapy more difficult. The purpose of this study is to examine the connection between comorbidities and the incidence of LBP in patients who visit the RSUDZA Banda Aceh Neurology Outpatient Clinic. In this study, 237 LBP patients from the Neurology Outpatient Clinic at RSUDZA were selected using a cross-sectional methodology between 12 April to May 2023. A sociodemographic questionnaire and the Modified Self-Administered Comorbidity Questionnaire (MSACQ) were used to gather data. The association between comorbidities and the incidence of LBP was examined using the chi-square test. The most prevalent comorbid conditions among the 237 responders were hypertension and hyperlipidemia, with 161 people (67.9%) having comorbidities. Mild pain was experienced by 87.8% of patients. Comorbid conditions had a substantial impact on the severity of pain in patients with LBP, according to the chi-square test, which revealed a strong correlation between comorbidities and the occurrence of LBP (p-value = 0.000). This study suggests a strong correlation between comorbidities and LBP incidence. In relation to LBP, hypertension and hyperlipidemia are the most prevalent comorbidities. To enhance treatment results and patients' quality of life, a comprehensive strategy to managing LBP is required, taking into account both the pain and any concomitant conditions.

Abstract

Personal Hygiene is a cleaning activity carried out by someone as an effort to maintain health and prevent a disease. The application of personal hygiene aims to prevent the spread of germs obtained from the surrounding environment. Personal hygiene should be started from an early age. This is because children are vulnerable to health problems related to the application of personal hygiene in everyday life. It is hoped that this activity will allow children to get information related to personal hygiene and apply it in everyday life to prevent infectious diseases that can be prevented by personal hygiene. The activity was carried out for elementary school children with the hope that children would develop the habit of washing their hands and brushing their teeth from an early age. This activity was carried out for grade 1 elementary school children, with a total of 24 children. The series of activities was filled with presentation of material related to hand washing and toothbrushing, then demonstrations of how to wash hands and brush teeth properly. The results after this activity were seen that elementary school children understood the material that had been given about hand washing and toothbrushing, and how to properly wash hands and brush teeth. During the re-demonstration session there were two children who washed their hands well but with a little help. It is hoped that for the next step, the school will emphasize more regarding personal hygiene habits at school, and continue to provide health-related information to families and the school environment

Abstract

Tetanus toxoid immunization is a process to build immunity as an effort to prevent tetanus infection. Immunization during pregnancy is very important to do to prevent diseases that can cause maternal and fetal death, the type of disposal given is Tetanus Toxoid (TT) which can prevent Tetanus disease. The purpose of this PKM is to provide information and increase the knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of carrying out Tetanus Toxoid Immunization (TT). This PKM activity was carried out using the health education method using leaflets for pregnant women as many as 6 people in Siuhom Village, Angkola Barat District. The results of this counseling activity are followed by providing an evaluation to pregnant women, namely questions and answers about the material that consumes tetanus poison (TT). Pregnant women can answer and explain well the questions posed by the instructor/speaker. The PKM activities that were carried out went well and the pregnant women who took part in the activities looked enthusiastic in participating in the activities.

Abstract

Young age is the age in the 26-45 year category. Age in this category is already at risk for disease if individuals do not maintain their diet and health. Some diseases that can attack individuals in this age category are stroke and hypertension. The purpose of this activity is expected to increase public knowledge about stroke and hypertension. This activity is carried out on adolescents aged 26-45 years. The method used is lectures using power point slides that contain material and also brochures. The material provided is the definition of stroke, signs of stroke symptoms, stroke management, definition of hypertension, signs of symptoms of hypertension, and treatment of hypertension. The results obtained after conducting health education showed that the majority of people understood the definition of stroke, signs of stroke symptoms, stroke management, definition of hypertension, signs of symptoms of hypertension, and treatment of hypertension. which has been given. Suggestions for further activities are conducting health education about drugs, cigarettes, reproductive health, mental health, and family planning. For health workers to pay more attention to problems that often affect the community, and improve health education with the aim of increasing public knowledge and awareness

Abstract

The low coverage of complete basic immunization is still a very difficult problem to face. Based on research conducted by Nurhikmah in 2017, knowledge and motivation factors are closely related to compliance. Knowledge is the dominant factor in compliance with immunization, so that the wek 3 sub-district area of padangsidimpuan city deserves to receive education about the importance of complete basic immunization. The desired method is the provision of materials carried out in the working area of the public health center, padangsidimpuan city. From the results of this counseling, there is an increase in knowledge and understanding. It is hoped that this training activity can be carried out in all work areas of the health center and government support is very important as information media so that it can be carried out continuously by posyandu cadres.

Abstract

Behavior is an action that can be observed and has a specific frequency, duration and purpose both consciously and unconsciously. One of the efforts to prevent hypertension and other non communicable diseases recommended by the Government is by implementing the CERDIK program (regular health checks, Get rid of cigarette smoke, Diligent physical activity, Balanced diet, Adequate rest, and Manage stress). This study aims to describe the healthy behavior of outpatient hypertension at the Temajuk Health Center. This study used a descriptive quantitative design, with a total sample of 223 people using purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that based on exposure to cigarette smoke, the majority were high, namely 134 people (60.1%), based on physical activity, the majority were not sufficient, as many as 129 people (57.8%), based on eating and drinking habits, the majority were not good, as many as 134 people (60 .1%), based on the stress level, the majority of them had mild stress, as many as 88 people (39.5%). Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that people with hypertension will take better care of their health, especially in terms of smoking, physical activity, and a balanced diet.

Abstract

Behavior is a person's actions or actions in response to something and then becomes a habit because of the values believed. Nutritional status is the state of the body as a result of food consumption and the use of nutrients. This study aims to determine the relationship between the behavior of pregnant women and the nutritional status of pregnant women. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive correlation design, with a cross-sectional study approach. The sample in this study were 80 pregnant women. With a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. The results of this study showed a p-value: 0.01 <0.05, so it was found that there was a Relationship between Behavior of Pregnant Women with the Nutritional Status of Pregnant Women at Public Health Center Working Area Padangmatinggi. Advice for pregnant women to increase the insight of pregnant women so that chronic energy deficiency does not occur and can improve good nutrition for pregnancy

Abstract

Inappropriate complementary feeding can cause malnutrition in children. Malnutrition will cause a weak immune system so that children will often get sick. This is one of the main problems worldwide, especially in developing countries. This study aims to determine the relationship between education and employment status with the provision of complementary feeding in the Suak Ribee Health Center Work Area, West Aceh Regency. The research design used cross-sectional. The population in this study were mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months as many as 167 people using the total sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. The results of the statistical test obtained maternal education with a p value of 0.001 and maternal employment status with a p value of 0.004. The conclusion was that there was a relationship between maternal education and employment status with the provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) in the Suak Ribee Health Center Work Area, West Aceh Regency.It is hoped that health workers in the Suak Ribee Health Center Work Area can create programs or health education about appropriate complementary foods for babies

Abstract

Merokok menjadi masalah kesehatan yang sulit diatasi karena sudah menjadi suatu kebiasaan dan gaya hidup di masyarakat. rokok selain berdampak pada kejadian depresi juga bisa berdampak pada pengeluaran ASI. Hal ini karena efek nikotin dalam darah mengurangi tingkat prolaktin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perokok pasif dengan produksi ASI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif korelasi dengan sampel sebanyak 93 ibu. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara passive smoker dengan produksi ASI dengan nilai p-value 0,432. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan agar keluarga dan lingkungan dapat memberikan perhatian dan dukungan terhadap ibu selama masa menyusui.
