Abstract

In the 2024 general elections, the role of social media is very significant. The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) as an institution tasked with overseeing the implementation of elections, has a big responsibility in providing education to the public to prevent violations that could occur. This study aims to explore and understand the strategies implemented by Bawaslu Surabaya City in preventing election violations. The method used in this research is qualitative with a filed research approach. Data processing and presentation are carried out through qualitative analysis techniques, which include interpretation, description, management, and interpretation of research results as a representation of the characteristics or description of certain phenomena related to the problem under study. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and document studies. In this research, the author refers to the theory of democratic elections and supervision theory. The results showed that the Surabaya City Bawaslu utilized social media as a tool to support supervision in an effort to prevent election violations. However, the implementation is still not optimal because there are still obstacles that need to be reviewed.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk dan keterbatasan lahan di perkotaan seperti Surabaya dapat menimbulkan tantangan ketahanan pangan dan keterbatasan ekonomi. Program kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan solusi yang inovatif melalui Budidaya Ikan dalam Ember (Budikdamber). Program ini memungkinkan masyarakat untuk memelihara ikan dan menanam sayuran secara mandiri dalam satu wadah, sehingga mendukung pemenuhan gizi keluarga sekaligus membuka peluang ekonomi dari hasil panen. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di RW 07 Kelurahan Wonokromo, dengan sasaran sebanyak 60 orang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan sosialisai, praktik lapangan/pelatihan dan evaluasi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan berdasarkan hasil pre test dan post test. Hasil pre test menunjukkan hanya 18,3% warga memiliki pengetahuan awal yang memadai, sementara setelah pelatihan meningkat tajam menjadi 98,7%. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan respon positif dari masyarkat, dengan antusiasme tinggi untuk turut menerapkan Budikdamber sebagai sumber pangan dan pendapatan tambahan. Secara keseluruhan Budikdamber berpotensi dapat meningkatkan kemandirian pangan dan pendapatan masyarakat perkotaan dengan keterbatasan lahan, serta dapat mendorong keberlanjutan ekonomi rumah tangga.

Abstract

In this era of rapid digital development, effective dan efficient public services require innovation in electronic-based service delivery. The Sidoarjo Regency Government has implemented an electronic-based government system by launching the Sidoarjo Public Service System (SIPRAJA) application and website. SIPRAJA aims to facilitate quick and easy independent management of population administration for the community. However, its implementation has faced challenges and has not fully met government expectations. This study evaluates the SIPRAJA website’s service policy in Banjarbendo Village, Sidoarjo District. Data was collected through interviews and documentation using a qualitative research method. The data analysis technique involved data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that SIPRAJA cannot be considered effective due to widespread user difficulties, frequent website slowdowns, and limited community participation. Efficiency indicators also show that SIPRAJA services are not yet efficient, hindered by operational hours, system design, and institusional and budgetary support. Adequacy is deemed unsuccessful due to limitations in data integration. However, equity has been achieved, as SIPRAJA has benefited all segments of society. Responsiveness indicators are also successful, reflecting the government’s swift response to citizen complaints. Furthermore, the accuracy indicator is considered successful, given the community’s familiarity with technological advancements.
