Abstract

The landscape of library research in Indonesia has undergone significant changes over the past decade, shifting from traditional library practices to embracing digital libraries and modern technologies. This evolution is driven by the need to adapt to technological advancements and the growing demand for digital literacy. The study aims to analyze the development of library research topics in Indonesia from 2004 to 2024, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and systematic reviews, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing bibliometric analysis through the Scopus database and VOSviewer software, the research investigates trends, collaborations, and emerging areas in library research. This approach provides a comprehensive view of the evolving research landscape. The findings reveal a pronounced shift towards digital libraries and the incorporation of modern technologies. The study highlights the role of social media as a connector between traditional library services and technological innovations, enhancing user engagement. Future directions emphasize promoting interdisciplinary collaborations and increasing digital literacy among library users.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi kini merambah dunia perpustakaan, mengubah cara layanan dan pengolahan data dengan memanfaatkan berbagai inovasi digital. Pengelolaan perpustakaan menjadi lebih efisien, sementara pengguna menikmati kenyamanan layanan yang semakin canggih, ke depan, teknologi bukan lagi sekedar pilihan, melainkan elemen esensial dalam perkembangan perpustakaan moderen. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan koleksi, memperluas akses masyarakat terhadap koleksi sejarah Melayu serta mendukung program literasi berbasis komunitas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah disaat pra pendampingan 100% menyatakan belum mengetahui dan memahami dengan baik tentang aplikasi OMEKA baik secara teori maupun praktik.. Sedangkan pasca pendampingan menunjukkan 100% peserta mengetahui dan memahami dengan baik aplikasi OMEKA baik secara teori maupun praktik.

Abstract

This article reviews the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in libraries and provides some examples of its work. This article explains how libraries can use a variety of artificial intelligence applications to simplify work and improve user service. Any type of AI is coverage can be used in the library. As initiators and discussion partners for IT professionals, librarians help develop libraries by incorporating artificial intelligence into them. By applying AI in libraries, the library will be an unlimited source of knowledge, not only for the physical collections that fill the space in the libraries but also as a source of information in various forms.
