Abstract

In this research, a hydrophobic layer has been successfully created on the surface of a steel plate using natural mineral silica modified with MTMS (Methyltrimethoxysilane) precursor. The synthesis process begins with the process of purifying silica sand, titration and calcination to obtain mineral silica in the cristobalite phase. This research used three variations of calcination holding time for silica minerals. Variations in the calcination holding time for the mineral silica used were 8 hours, 12 hours and 16 hours using the same temperature, namely 950°C. Each variation of silica mineral that has been synthesized is then modified with MTMS precursors. The names of the modified silica samples are modified MTMS/SiO2 V1, modified MTMS/SiO2 V2, and modified MTMS/SiO2 V3 with a mineral silica calcination holding time of 8 hours, 12 hours, and 16 hours respectively. The synthesized silica powder is then mixed with steel ship paint and applied to the surface of the steel plate as a topcoat layer. The coating method used is the brush coating method. Increasing the concentration of silica powder and the calcination holding time of silica minerals affect the roughness and hierarchical structure of the steel plate surface. Surface roughness and hierarchical structure are important indicators of the formation of a hydrophobic surface. Roughness on the surface of a steel plate can be identified by performing AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) characterization. The AFM characterization results show that the highest roughness is found in the MTMS/SiO2 modified V3 sample. Hydrophobicity on the surface of the steel plate can be identified from the WCA (Water Contact Angle) test. WCA testing is carried out using two different types of liquid, namely fresh water and sea water. The highest water contact angle produced in this study was 128° using fresh water and 134° using sea water.

Abstract

This research discusses the planning and organizing stages in the implementation of Management Information Systems on campus. The results of the research confirm that careful planning, involving all related parties such as lecturers, students, and rectors is very important for the success of the implementation of Management Information Systems. Needs analysis that includes the types of data to be managed and the determination of the budget for hardware, software, and technical training is also considered crucial. Furthermore, the organizing stage that includes the formation of a cross-departmental implementation team and the arrangement of clear operational procedures greatly determines the smoothness of the implementation process. This study extends the findings of previous studies by highlighting the importance of data protection and access rules in Management Information Systems, aspects that are often overlooked in previous studies. These findings provide practical guidelines for schools in planning and organizing the implementation of Management Information Systems effectively and safely .

Abstract

This research aims to explore Harun Nasutions views on education and then revolutionize education that is related to current developments, especially in Indonesia. The method applied in this study is a literature review, where the author tries to find, organize, and analyze each related reference. The results of this study indicate that Harun Nasution assessed that there was a lag among Muslims in Indonesia. For a long period, Muslims in Indonesia wanted to innovate in education. There are several mistakes that occur in Indonesian Muslim society, where many still rely on traditional learning methods and tend to reject other approaches, so that Muslims in Indonesia are left behind. Many thinkers have tried to create new ideas for Islamic education reform. One of them is Harun Nasution. According to Harun Nasution, there are three approaches that are suitable for reviving Islam. First, the use of rationality in religion. Second, people who have an understanding of Jabariyah also get an understanding of Qadariyah as a comparison and transition. Third, do not reject rationality and God's revelation because both are interconnected. All of this can be applied in various aspects of life experience, especially in the field of education.
