Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of leaders in group counseling dynamics through a literature review approach. In group guidance practices, leaders serve not only as technical facilitators but also as catalysts who shape healthy and productive interaction structures. The literature review reveals that leadership effectiveness is strongly influenced by interpersonal competence, the guidance strategies employed, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of group members. Techniques such as sociodrama and reflection, along with approaches like Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), have been proven to significantly enhance group dynamics. Additionally, ongoing training is a strategic measure to strengthen leaders’ capacity in managing groups effectively. Therefore, adaptive, empathetic, and reflective leaders play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and transformative group climate.

Abstract

This study examines public perceptions of the online gambling phenomenon and its social and economic implications from the perspective of maqashid shariah, with a case study of the community in Jambi City. The research aims to: (1) identify and analyze the perceptions of Jambi City residents regarding online gambling, and (2) analyze the social and economic implications of online gambling practices within the framework of maqashid shariah. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, involving various informants including members of the general public, religious figures, university students, former online gamblers, academics, and law enforcement officers. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that the people of Jambi City generally hold negative perceptions of online gambling, grounded in religious, social, and moral values. Such practices are viewed as deviant behaviors that contradict Islamic teachings and social norms. However, some younger individuals perceive online gambling as a form of entertainment or a quick means to earn money, influenced by environmental factors and digital access. Online gambling has resulted in social consequences such as family breakdowns, reduced social interaction, and domestic conflicts, as well as economic impacts including financial losses, dependence on interest-based loans, and the risk of bankruptcy. From the perspective of maqashid shariah, online gambling contradicts the five fundamental objectives of Islamic law: the protection of religion (hifz al-din), life (hifz al-nafs), intellect (hifz al-‘aql), lineage (hifz al-nasl), and wealth (hifz al-mal). Therefore, active involvement from the government, religious leaders, educational institutions, and society is essential to comprehensively prevent and address the issue of online gambling in order to safeguard public welfare.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) dan Harga terhadap Keputusan Layanan Jasa Transportasi Online Maxim Bike Oleh Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data primer dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner yang menggunakan skala likert 1-5 dengan 100 responden yaitu Mahasiswa yang menggunakan Maxim Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi aktif di semester genap 2025. Model penelitian dijabarkan dalam persamaan analisis regresi linier berganda. Pengolahan data menggunakan program spss 26. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa Electronic Word Of Mouth berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Keputusan Penggunaan layanan jasa transportasi online Maxim Bike pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi. Harga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Keputusan Penggunaan. Electronic Word of Mouth dan Harga berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Keputusan. Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) merupakan strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Ulasan atau komentar dan rekomendasi dari pengguna melalui media sosial berperan besar dalam membentuk persepsi pengguna terhadap Maxim. Hasil uji koefisien diterminasi (R2) sebesar 0,435 yang menunjukkan bahwa pangaruh variabel independen Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) dan Harga terhadap variabel dependen Electronic Word Of Mouth adalah sebesar 43,5% sedangkan sisanya 56,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian yang diteliti. Kata Kunci: Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM), Harga, Keputusan Penggunaan, Etika Bisnis Islam.   Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) and Price on the Decision to Use Maxim Bike Online Transportation Services by Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jambi. This research approach uses a quantitative method using primary and secondary data. The primary data collection method in this study is a questionnaire using a Likert scale of 1-5 with 100 respondents, namely students who use Maxim, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jambi actively in the even semester of 2024/2025. The research model is described in a multiple linear regression analysis equation. Data processing uses the SPSS 26 program. The results of the research that has been carried out indicate that Electronic Word of Mouth has a positive and significant effect on the Decision to Use Maxim Bike online transportation services for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jambi. Price has a positive and significant effect on the Decision to Use. Electronic Word of Mouth and Price have a simultaneous effect on the Decision. Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) is an effective marketing strategy. Reviews or comments and recommendations from users through social media play a major role in shaping user perceptions of Maxim. The result of the coefficient of determination test (R2) is 0.435 which shows that the influence of the independent variables Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) and Price is 43.5% while the remaining 56.5% is influenced by other factors outside the research studied. Abstract

The fulfillment of a person's needs in facing the welfare of life makes people often complain, so that the person becomes weak and empty of faith, as conveyed by Sayyid Quthb in his interpretation, and this is a problem that interests the author to discuss the problem: (1) How does Sayyid Quttub interpret QS Al-Maarij [70]: 19? (2) How is Sayyid Quttub's opinion unique about QS Al-Maarij [70]: 19 viewed from a psychological perspective? The objectives of this research are as follows: (1) To understand Sayyid Quttub's interpretation of QS Al-Maarij [70]: 19. In this research, a qualitative research method was used which is a research approach that focuses on a deep understanding of an object, and which notes the importance of someone maintaining their faith by not making an object weak or an object that forgets gratitude and patience, and making complaining a weapon that is not worthy of being used except when they can only complain about their situation to Allah alone with the hope that only Allah can help with all the problems that a person may experience.
