Abstract

Shallot (Allium cepa var. aggregatum) is a very important commodity in agriculture and the economy in Indonesia. Nganjuk Regency is recognized as the largest shallot producing center in East Java Province. The risk of shallot production can be influenced by factors such as land area, labor, fertilizer, and pesticides. This study aims to determine the level of production risk and analyze the factors that affect shallot production in Sukorejo Village, Nganjuk Regency. The research method uses risk analysis of the coefficient of variation and multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are primary data and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, and the BPS website. The sample of farmers used was 30 respondents and selected by simple random sampling. The results show that the risk of shallot production in Sukorejo Village is high, with a coefficient of variation of 2.73. Onion production in this village is quite high, reaching an average of 5.77 tons with a productivity of 15.44 tons/ha. Factors such as land area, seeds, NPK fertilizer, organic fertilizer, pesticides, and labor simultaneously affect production. Partially, land area and NPK fertilizer play a significant role in shallot production.

Abstract

Oranic rice farming in indonesia is experiencing rapid development due to increasing public awareness of health concerns, yet faces various constraints such as limited availability of organic fertilizers and biopesticides. This study aims to evaluate farmers’ adaption levels of biofarm technology as a solution in organic rice farming. The research employed a quantitative approach by distributing offline questionnaires to 30 members of GAPOKTAN Sulek Raya in Bondowoso. Regency who participated in the biofarm technology pilot project. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling technique and data were analyzed using structural equation modeling-partial least square (SEM-PLS). Results showed that mentoring effectiveness (X1) positvely influenced the level of biofarm tecnology adoption with a path coefficient of 0,51, while farmes’ technological readiness (X2) had no significant effect and teknological advancement (X3) has a significant influence with a path coefficient of 0,38. Overall, the three independent variabels explained 43% of the variation in farmers’ innovation adoption levels regarding biofarm technology. This research recommends the importance of farmers’ consistency in using biofarm tecnology to overcome fertilizer and biopesticide scarcity, as well as government support through policies and incentives for organic rice rafmers.
