Abstract

This study examines the management strategies employed by Adiwiyata schools and their impact on enhancing the brand image of madrasahs. Utilizing a qualitative research design, the investigation incorporates observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis to derive insights. The findings indicate that effective management is pivotal in establishing a positive brand identity for madrasahs.  Key results suggest that successful brand development is contingent upon strategic initiatives that prioritize high-quality educational processes and an environmentally sustainable curriculum aligned with the Adiwiyata program. Such a curriculum not only elevates educational standards but also fosters environmental stewardship, thereby enhancing institutional reputation and societal impact.  The study emphasizes the necessity of integrating effective management practices with sustainable educational initiatives to strengthen the perceived value of madrasahs. Recommendations for practice focus on the continuous improvement of pedagogical methods and curriculum development, highlighting the critical interplay between quality education and environmental sustainability in enhancing the brand image of madrasah

Abstract

Students' low problem-solving ability and weak mathematical disposition are often attributed to the use of inappropriate instructional models and the limited opportunities provided for students to practice solving mathematical problems. To address this issue, an instructional model is needed that actively engages students in mathematical problem-solving while simultaneously fostering their mathematical disposition. One such model is the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP). This study aims to investigate the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project instructional model on students’ problem-solving skills and mathematical disposition. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group posttest-only design. The population consisted of all tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, with class X-TKR serving as the experimental group and class X-PGL as the control group. The research instruments included a test and a questionnaire. The posttest was administered to assess students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, while the questionnaire measured their mathematical disposition. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an independent samples t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000. Based on this finding, it can be concluded that the Missouri Mathematics Project instructional model has a significant effect on students' problem-solving skills and mathematical disposition.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' self-confidence and English language skills through the Role Play program in the English Talent Show at SMPN 4 Kuningan. This experience-based program encourages students to use English in a dramatic and collaborative context. The stages of the activity include story selection, role assignment, scenario preparation, training, staging, and reflective discussion, with guidance from PPG Pre-Service students and supervising teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and school management, and visual documentation. The results showed an increase in speaking fluency, understanding of dialogue structures, and emotional expression in English. Students also developed in social aspects such as collaboration and leadership. Based on the analysis of Vygotsky, Kolb, Krashen, and Maley & Duff theories, this program proves the effectiveness of drama as an integrative learning strategy that combines linguistic, affective, and social aspects, and is recommended for application in language learning in secondary education.
