Abstract

PT Petrokimia Gresik is a subsidiary of PT Pupuk Indonesia which is engaged in the fertilizer producer sector. This study was conducted to analyze the level of service satisfaction, measure whether there is a significant difference before and after implementation using the normality test, non-parametric statistics (sign test and Wilcoxon test), and correlation test. In the sign test and Wilcoxon test, 0 data with negative differences, 0 data ties, and 100 data positive differences were obtained from a total of 100 data. In the sign test, the Z-score value was -9.900 and in the Wilcoxon test, the Z-score value was -8.815. In the normality test, the significance value is 0.000, and 0.000 where ? 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected, then the data is not normally distributed, in the sign test, the significance value is 0.000 ? 0.05 which means H0 is rejected, then there is a significant difference between before and after the implementation of Smart Warehouse Self Check-In and Check-Out, in the Wilcoxon test, the significance value is 0.000 ? 0.05 which means H0 is rejected, then there is a significant difference between before and after the implementation of Smart Warehouse Self Check-In and Check-Out, in the correlation test, the significance value is 0.000 ? 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning there is a correlation between the data before and after the implementation of Smart Warehouse Self Check-In and Check-Out. This research can help solve problems and improve the level of service at the Warehouse and Packing Department counters.

Abstract

General Background Quality control is a critical requirement in the printing industry to ensure products conform to predetermined standards and maintain visual and functional quality. Specific Background PT XYZ, a large-scale printing company in Indonesia, records fairy tale books as the product with the highest defect rate across Web Printing, Sheetfed Printing, and Finishing processes. Knowledge Gap Existing quality control practices at the company are predominantly focused on final inspection, creating a gap between quality standards and actual process conditions, while empirical applications of integrated SQC and Fuzzy FMEA in the printing industry remain limited. Aims This study aims to analyze defect characteristics and determine priority causes of defects in fairy tale book production using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (Fuzzy FMEA). Results SQC analysis identified dominant defects, namely dirty paper appearance (21.3%), color mismatch (17.9%), fold mismatch (17.8%), varnish crack (15.4%), floy (15.3%), and staple reject (12.3%). Fuzzy FMEA results indicate that fold mismatch caused by unstable temperature and humidity conditions in the production environment has the highest risk priority with an FRPN value of 3.42, followed by operator inaccuracy, improper machine settings, inconsistent raw material quality, and weak supervision. Novelty This research presents an integrated application of SQC and Fuzzy FMEA specifically within fairy tale book printing operations. Implications The findings provide a structured basis for prioritizing corrective actions through environmental control, operator training, machine adjustment, and raw material inspection to reduce defect levels in printing processes. Highlights: Dirty paper appearance represents the largest proportion of defects in fairy tale book production. Fold mismatch associated with production environment conditions shows the highest risk priority. Integrated analytical methods enable systematic prioritization of defect causes in printing processes. Abstract

Baratajaya Sub-district in Surabaya has a high potential of MSMEs, especially in culinary fields such as food stalls, catering, and beverage businesses. However, observations showed that most MSME actors did not have a Business Identification Number (NIB) due to a lack of understanding of its importance and the registration procedure. This community service activity aimed to assist MSMEs in obtaining NIB through the OSS system to ensure their business legality. The partners in this program were Baratajaya Sub-district officials, RW 03, and Kader Surabaya Hebat. The methods included observation, socialization about business legality, practical training on NIB registration, and evaluation through participant questionnaires. The results showed an increase in MSME actors’ knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of NIB, as well as their successful registration with the assistance of university students. Most participants expressed satisfaction with the material delivery and practical sessions, which were easy to understand. This activity proved beneficial in supporting MSME business continuity legally and increasing their confidence in running their businesses. The significance of this program is that it becomes an initial step in optimizing MSME legality, which impacts the strengthening of the local economy based on official licensing.
