Abstract

Children with special needs have characteristics that are not the same as most other children, thus demanding special treatment in carrying out the responsibilities of church ministers. This difference shows that every child is God's special creation, and the church's responsibility to serve them also varies. Some churches accept and are open to the privileges of these children, especially for the development of spirituality and religious religiosity. Still, some churches make them objects for the people around them. This study aims to offer the value of ecclesial service to children with special needs through a reading of Matthew 10:30-31. With a qualitative research approach and using the method of interpretive analysis of scriptural texts, I obtained a foundational value of ecclesial ministry, that is, "all are valuable in God's eye". Finally, based on the conclusions of this article, I recommend the cultivation of spiritual values in serving children with special needs through the internalization approach of "all are valuable in God's eye".   Abstrak Anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki karakteristik yang tidak sama dengan kebanyakan anak lainnya, sehingga menuntut perlakuan yang khusus termasuk dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawab pelayan gereja. Perbedaan ini memperlihatkan bahwa setiap anak merpakan ciptaan Tuhan yang istimewa, dan tanggung jawab gereja untuk melakukan pelayanan terhadap mereka juga beragam. Ada gereja yang menerima dan terbuka terhadap hak istimewa anak-anak ini terutama untuk pengembangan spiritualitas dan religiositas keagamaan, tetapi ada juga gereja yang menjadikan mereka objek bagi orang-orang di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan sebuah nilai pelayanan gerejawi terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus melalui pembacaan Matius 10:30-31. Dengan pendekatan riset kualitatif dan menggunakan metode analisis interpretatif teks kitab suci, dihasilkan sebuah fondasi nilai pelayanan gerejawi “semua berharga di mata Tuhan”. Akhirnya, berbasis pada simpulan artikel ini, saya merekomendasikan penanaman nilai spiritual dalam melayani anak berkebutuhan khusus melalui pendekatan internalisasi "semua berharaga di mata Tuhan".

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the infrastructure that supports student learning outcomes in Christian Religious Education lessons at SMAN 1 Palangka Raya. The research method is qualitative with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research of existing infrastructure facilities at SMAN 1 Palangka Raya are in good condition, but still do not meet the standards in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 24 of 2007 Standards for facilities and infrastructure of SMA / MA General Education. In this case there are some that still need to be completed and considered such as religious study rooms whose facilities such as air conditioning and LCD that need to be repaired or replaced, as well as a place of worship that needs to be provided specifically for students who are Christian. The completeness of the existing infrastructure at SMAN 1 Palangka Raya can meet the needs of students and teachers, so that in the process of teaching and learning activities can run effectively and efficiently, and the learning outcomes obtained by students XI MIPA 2 through the learning process are supported by educators and infrastructure.

Abstract

Catechism is a church formation to educate youth consider maturity in faith. Catechization is usually goes for a long period, however, due to Covid-19 pandemic, catechization’s timing become uncertainty and tends to be shorter. This is also happened at GKE Tangkiling as Evangelical Church in Kalimantan. Due to pandemic, implementation of the catechism for youth was carried out within two months. Through this research, the writer describes the catechization activities, catechization material which is packaged in a more concise manner and the way the teacher delivers its material in limited time. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. From the results, it was found that catechism activities were carried out 6-8 times in November to December 2020 with one meeting in one week. Meanwhile, in the second week of December, catechism activities were held four times. Duration of catechism activity was approximately two hours. The material that presented to youth participants was very limited by summarizing the catechism guidelines by GKE. The catechism teacher selects and packs material that is considered very close and relevant to the lives of youth participants, such as good courtship, utilizing one's talents and potential and material about church life. The teacher also chooses sharing method according to the agreement of the catechism participants so that the available time can be used as effectively as possible. Katekisasi merupakan bentuk pembinaan gereja yang bertujuan mendidik remaja kepada kedewasaan iman. Katekisasi biasanya dilakukan dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama, namun demikian karena pandemi Covid-19 waktu pelaksanaan katekisasi menjadi tidak menentu dan cenderung lebih pendek. Hal ini juga terjadi di GKE Tangkiling, karena pandemi maka pelaksanaan katekisasi sidi dilaksanakan dalam kurun waktu dua bulan. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis mendeskripsikan kegiatan katekisasi, materi katekisasi yang dikemas secara lebih ringkas dan cara pengajar menyampaikan materi katekisasi di tengah keterbatasan waktu di GKE Tangkiling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa kegiatan katekisasi dilaksanakan 6-8 kali pertemuan pada bulan November s.d Desember Tahun 2020 dengan mekanisme satu kali pertemuan dalam satu minggu. Sedangkan pada minggu kedua pada Bulan Desember, kegiatan katekisasi dilaksanakan empat kali pertemuan. Durasi kegiatan katekisasi dilaksanakan kurang lebih dua jam. Materi yang disampaikan kepada peserta sangat terbatas dengan merangkum dari pedoman katekisasi GKE. Pengajar katekisasi memilih dan mengemas materi yang dianggap sangat dekat dan relevan dengan kehidupan remaja selaku peserta katekisasi sidi seperti, hubungan pacaran yang baik, memanfaatkan talenta dan potensi diri dan materi tentang kehidupan bergereja. Pengajar katekisasi memilih metode sharing sebagaimana kesepakatan peserta katekisasi sehingga waktu yang tersedia dapat digunakan seefektif mungkin. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterbatasan waktu dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan katekisasi sidi sehingga berdampak kurang maksimalnya materi disampaikan kepada peserta katekisasi.
