Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the revenue potential and economic impact of imposing an excise tax on RON 90 fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia. Using the input-output (IO) analysis method and secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, this study analyzes the impact of applying specific excise tariffs of IDR1,000, IDR2,000, and IDR3,000 per liter. The results show that the implementation of excise tax can contribute substantially to state revenue, but also shows significant negative impacts on economic output, gross value added, and labor compensation in various sectors. To mitigate these negative impacts, it is recommended that the additional state revenue be allocated as a stimulus to the affected sectors. The fuel excise policy will be more effective if accompanied by a stimulus policy for the affected sectors through additional government spending, in order to encourage an increase in output and gross value added at the macro level.

Abstract

Based on the descriptions above and from several expert opinions, the purpose of this research is to find out how much influence job satisfaction, job resources, and self-determination have on Work Engagement of Corry Manurung Group employees. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with total sampling of all 32 employees of the Corry Manurung Group through filling out a questionnaire in which there are 33 statements. The data that has been collected is then carried out descriptive statistical testing through frequency distribution and hypothesis testing using the Chi-Square method to determine the influence between variables. The results showed that the majority of Corry Manurung Group employees fell into the “good” and “very good” categories on job satisfaction, job resources, selfdetermination, and work engagement variables. Meanwhile, based on the chi-square test using SPSS, only the job satisfaction variable has a significant influence on Work Engagement because it produces a chi-square value <0.05, which is 0.025. The other two variables, namely job resources and self-determination have chi-square values > 0.05, which are 0.057 and 0.135 respectively.

Abstract

The utilization of information systems can significantly contribute to enhancing efficiency and service delivery at MA Daarul Falah, an educational institution in Pondok Pesantren Daarul Falah. Previously, there were often issues with subjective assessment of high-achieving students and inadequate archiving of previous years' assessment records. This study aims to expedite the collection of student assessment data from each class, automate the student grading process, and improve the objectivity of the school's assessments of all students. The method employed in this research is the Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP), implemented using the PHP programming language. The results of the study indicate that students who receive a total evaluation score above 90.00 are considered eligible to serve at Pondok Pesantren Daarul Falah, while those who score below 90.00 are deemed ineligible to serve there.

Abstract

Poverty is a problem in the development process in most countries, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Analyzing the factors that influence poverty is important in formulating effective and targeted policies. This study aims to analyze the independent variables of village funds, unemployment rate, human development index (HDI), and gross regional domestic product (GRDP) affecting the dependent variable of the number of poor people in Indonesia in 2022. The study used the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model to analyze cross-section data from 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2022. The results show that village funds and GRDP have a significant positive influence on the number of poor people, but HDI and unemployment rate do not have a significant influence. The findings make a significant contribution to understanding the factors that contribute to the poverty rate in Indonesia, as well as providing a basis for formulating more effective development policies to reduce the poverty rate in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the safeguard policy, exchange rates, and market share on the import volume of fabric products. The study uses monthly data from January 2019 to November 2022, covering the period before the safeguard policy until its completion. The regression model used is General Least Square with Panel-Corrected Standard Errors (PCSE) scheme. The results show that the safeguard policy and exchange rates have a significant negative effect on import volume, while market share has a significant positive effect on import volume. The implementation of the safeguard policy raises suspicions of trade diversion and circumvention in the importation of fabric products. The implication of this research is that the government can utilize the safeguard policy to protect domestic industries from the influx of imported goods while still encouraging domestic industrialization in that sector.
