Abstract

The implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in second-grade elementary classrooms at MI Al Munawwar focuses on enhancing students' understanding of the topic Keluargaku Unik (My Unique Family). This learning approach aims to improve students' comprehension of descriptive texts, sentence construction, and self-expression through active and innovative participation. The research involved two classes, with one employing PBL and the other using traditional teaching methods. Conducted over two weeks, the study assessed students' understanding through pretests, posttests, and classroom observations. The results revealed that PBL significantly improved students' comprehension and engagement compared to traditional methods, with a noticeable increase in their ability to describe family uniqueness and construct coherent sentences. The students' positive responses and active participation demonstrate PBL's effectiveness in fostering critical thinking and meaningful learning experiences. This activity not only promotes academic achievement but also encourages collaborative and reflective learning, essential for holistic development.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bahan ajar teks novel yang memiliki nilai moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian pengembangan / R&D dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Bahan ajar merupakan bagian penting dalam proses belajar mengajar sebagai salah satu alat untuk mencapai kurikulum. Bahan ajar yang baik adalah bahan ajar yang dirancang dengan bahan yang dekat dengan peserta didik. Pembelajaran menulis novel dalam kurikulum 2013 terdapat pada kelas 12. Peserta didik dituntut untuk memahami dan menulis karya fiksi. Pembuatan bahan ajar yang cocok dengan siswa mutlak diperlukan. Ketepatan guru dalam membuat bahan ajar yang tepat dapat membantu peserta didik memahami materi lebih dalam.  Seyogyanya bahan ajar yang akan disampaikan pada peserta didik dibuatkan langsung oleh guru yang bersangkutan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian terhadap nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel remaja. Novel remaja yang dimaksudkan adalah novel yang bercerita mengenai kehidupan remaja seusia sekolah. Pemilihan novel yang bercerita mengenai kehidupan remaja sengaja dipilih supaya peserta didik merasa dekat dengan materi yang akan disampaikan. Penelitian ini dilengkapi dengan modul bahan ajar yang memiliki kelengkapan sehingga dapat digunakan oleh siswa secara mandiri. Kelebihan modul bahan ajar adalah tersedia berbagai muatan yang memungkinkan siswa belajar, berlatih, dan mengevaluasi diri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai moral dalam novel remaja dapat dijadikan bahan ajar di sekolah. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu tugas para guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar terutama dalam pembelajaran menulis novel di kelas 12. KATA KUNCI: Bahan Ajar Novel; Nilai Moral; Novel Remaja   MORAL VALUES ​​IN YOUTH NOVELS AND THEIR UTILIZATION AS TEACHING MATERIALS IN HIGH SCHOOLS     ABSTRACT: This study aims to provide teaching materials for novel texts that have moral values. Teaching materials are an important part of the teaching and learning process as one of the tools to achieve the curriculum. Good teaching materials are teaching materials that are designed with materials that are close to students. Learning to write novels in the 2013 curriculum is in grade 12. The teacher's accuracy in making the right teaching materials can help students understand the material more deeply. The teaching materials that will be delivered to students should be made directly by the teacher concerned. This research is a study of the moral values contained in youth novels. The intended youth novel is a novel that tells about the lives of school-aged teenagers. The selection of novels that tell about the lives of teenagers is deliberately chosen so that students feel close to the material to be conveyed. This study is equipped with teaching material modules that have completeness so that they can be used by students independently. The advantage of the teaching material module is that it provides a variety of content that allows students to learn, practice and self-evaluate. The results of this study indicate that moral values in youth novels can be used as teaching materials in schools. This research is expected to be able to assist teachers in carrying out teaching and learning activities, especially in learning to write novels in grade 12.
