Abstract

Konsep ego dalam kepribadian manusia telah menjadi fokus kajian dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu, termasuk psikologi dan kajian Islam. Dalam perspektif Al-Quran, ego erat kaitannya dengan konsep nafs (jiwa) yang terdiri atas tiga tingkatan: an-nafs al-ammarah (jiwa yang cenderung kepada kejahatan), an-nafs al-lawwamah (jiwa yang menyesali diri), dan an-nafs al-muthma'innah (jiwa yang tenang). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana Al-Quran memandang ego dan relevansinya dengan kesehatan mental dan pengembangan kepribadian di era modern. Melalui desk research dan analisis deskriptif, artikel ini menemukan bahwa pemahaman dan pengendalian ego sesuai dengan ajaran Al-Quran dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik spiritual seperti muhasabah dan ibadah berperan penting dalam menyeimbangkan aspek psikologis dan spiritual, sehingga individu dapat mencapai kedamaian dan kesejahteraan batin.

Abstract
