Abstract

Background: Individuals with disabilities face various challenges in the workforce, including physical, psychological, and social barriers that hinder full access and participation, leading to anxiety about entering the workforce. Anxiety often arises due to negative thinking. Positive thinking, however, can help individuals manage this anxiety. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between positive thinking and anxiety about entering the workforce among individuals with disabilities. Method: This research uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, involving 60 participants with disabilities aged 18-40. Data was collected through questionnaires that measure levels of positive thinking and anxiety about the workforce. The gathered data was analyzed using the product-moment correlation method. Result: The findings show a significant negative relationship between positive thinking and anxiety about entering the workforce among individuals with disabilities. Conclusion: The implications of this study can serve as a reference for research on marginalized communities, specifically individuals with disabilities.
