Abstract

Instagram @apvi.official is a social media account for spreading content that focuses on information about vape. Informative content uploaded to the Instagram account @apvi.official in the form of photos and videos about the world of vape. The goal to be achieved in this research is to find out how effective it is in fulfilling information needs on the Instagram @apvi.official page. Descriptive qualitative is the method chosen in this writing with Instagram followers @apvi.official as the population in the study with 100 respondents taken as a sample based on the results of the slovin formula. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, continuum line, simple linear regression, t test and coefficient of determination. The total percentage results are 83.5%, the percentage points are between 68% and 84% which means high. So, it was concluded that the t test results obtained a p-value of 0.001, in other words the result is less than 0.005, which means the effectiveness of Instagram @apvi.official activities is active in fulfilling the information needed by its followers.

Abstract

Digital communication is a form of communication conducted through internet-based media, offering various features such as text messaging, video calling, and social media platforms. One of the popular platforms that support digital communication, especially in the K-Pop entertainment industry, is Weverse. This platform allows fans to interact with artists, share information, and form communities. Enhypen has many fans who use Weverse for various purposes. The purpose of this study is to determine how much the relationship between motives and satisfaction in using the Weverse platform. The type of research that will be used is a quantitative approach, based on the uses and gratifications theory which considers audiences to actively choose the media to be used. In line with the concepts used by Palmgreen in his research, to measure Gratification Sought (GS) and Gratification Obtained (GO) which will produce a significant influence between the two. The results showed that the highest motive was the information motive. This shows that there is an influence between motives and satisfaction in using the Weverse platform. Komunikasi digital adalah bentuk komunikasi yang dilakukan melalui media berbasis internet, menawarkan berbagai fitur seperti pesan teks, panggilan video, dan platform media sosial. Salah satu platform yang populer dalam mendukung komunikasi digital, terutama dalam industri hiburan K-Pop adalah Weverse. Platform ini memungkinkan penggemar untuk berinteraksi dengan artis, berbagi informasi, dan membentuk komunitas. Enhypen memiliki banyak penggemar yang menggunakan Weverse untuk berbagai tujuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan motif dan kepuasan dalam penggunaan platform Weverse. Jenis penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan berlandaskan pada teori uses and gratifications yang menganggap khalayak secara aktif memilih media yang akan digunakan. Sejalan dengan konsep yang digunakan Palmgreen dalam penelitiannya, untuk mengukur Gratification Sought (GS) dan Gratification Obtained (GO) yang akan menghasilkan pengaruh signifikan antara keduanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motif yang paling tinggi adalah motif informasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara motif dan kepuasan dalam penggunaan platform Weverse.
