Abstract

The character of piety is important to be developed in school-age adolescents through education, habituation, and role models in their living environment, especially in schools, Islamic boarding schools. This study was conducted at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo Jati Agung South Lampung Islamic Boarding School which aims to determine the implementation of the habituation of students in carrying out the sunnah routine prayers to build piety and to determine what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the habituation of sunnah routine prayers. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with descriptive design, data collection procedures used are observation, interviews and documentation, for checking and checking the validity of data using social situation update procedures, accuracy and perseverance in research and triangulation, while data analysis techniques through four stages, namely: data collection data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions The results of the study indicate that the habit of performing Sunnah prayers is the most important support in building the character of piety of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo Jati Agung South Lampung Islamic Boarding School, A habit of performing Sunnah prayers has been embedded in each individual student because of the existence of Islamic boarding school regulations that require all students to carry out the Sunnah prayers and are assisted by guidance, monitoring and motivation given by the ustad / ustadzah. The supporting factors for the habit of performing Sunnah prayers are full support from the management / ustadzah, good influence from the surrounding environment, good adjustments. The inhibiting factors for the habit of praying sunnah rawatib are the lack of self-awareness of the female queuing to perform sunnah rawatib prayers, the lack of awareness of the administrators to control.

Abstract

Pesantren is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia. The existence of pesantren as an Islamic educational institution in the country has a very large contribution to the formation of the character of the Indonesian nation. Furthermore, the existence of pesantren from time to time has made a concrete contribution in the course of the nation's history. Formulate this research problem, namely: 1). How is the planning for the formation of an independent attitude of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School? 2). How to organize the formation of an independent attitude of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School? 3). How is the implementation of the formation of an independent attitude of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School? 4). How is the supervision and evaluation of the formation of students' independence attitudes at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School? This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources are the head of madrasah and their representatives, teachers, and students who were selected purposively and with snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used are observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. The conclusion of this study is that the formation of an independent attitude of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Jati Agung District is carried out in several stages including carrying out teaching and learning activities, organization, routine mandatory activities of Islamic boarding schools, individual daily student activities, supporting activities, and boarding school discipline. . The independence of students found in the field starts from simple daily life management behaviors, such as eating, washing, and so on. Even though it is simple, if it is done repeatedly and lived as it is, it will produce a steady behavior of independence. The minimum characteristic that will be formed is in simple matters, students do not rely on other people.
