Abstract

Character education in elementary schools is a crucial aspect of forming individuals who are holistic, have integrity, and are ethical. This research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and direct observations of five teachers from various elementary schools to obtain rich and comprehensive data on how they implement character education in daily learning processes. The results show that the teachers have a profound philosophical awareness of the importance of character education. They not only teach moral values theoretically but also create an environment that allows students to experience and internalize these values through daily interactions. Various methods are used by the teachers, ranging from the integration of moral values into the curriculum, extracurricular activities, the use of moral stories, the habituation of positive attitudes, to class discussions and reflections. Although the methods used vary, all teachers demonstrate a strong commitment to integrating character education into every aspect of learning. This research confirms that the role of teachers in character education in elementary schools is very important and requires a deep approach and strong commitment. Character education should be seen as an integral part of education that is inseparable from the academic learning process. This research provides valuable insights into how character education can be effectively implemented in elementary schools and the importance of the teacher's role in this process.

The globalization era has brought significant impacts on various aspects of life, including Islamic religious education (PAI). This research aims to identify and analyze the problems faced in PAI learning among students in the global era. The research method used is [research method - to be adjusted according to actual research]. The research results show that PAI learning in the global era faces various complex challenges, including: negative influences of technology and social media, religious identity crisis among students, gaps between traditional Islamic values and modernity, lack of innovative and relevant learning methods, and insufficient teacher competencies in integrating technology in PAI learning. Other findings indicate a decline in student interest and motivation toward religious learning, as well as difficulties in understanding the relevance of Islamic teachings to contemporary life. This research recommends the need for more contextual PAI curriculum reform, improvement of educator competencies, integration of appropriate learning technologies, and strengthening of learning approaches that can bridge Islamic values with the demands of the global era.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the role of Google Docs–facilitated electronic feedback in enhancing students’ academic writing skills within a higher-education context. Using a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study engaged 20 undergraduate students enrolled in an academic writing course. The data were gathered via semi-structured interviews, reflective journals, and document analysis of students’ writing drafts. The results show that students found electronic feedback helpful in improving the quality of their writing, particularly in organization, clarity, and grammar. Using Google Docs also made students more likely to revise their work multiple times, got them more involved in their learning, and gave them more freedom to learn on their own. Students engaged with the comments and exhibited greater awareness of their writing strengths and weaknesses. However, problems with limited access to technology and varying levels of digital literacy were also identified. The study demonstrates that Google Docs–mediated feedback provides significant and effective support for enhancing academic writing when used with appropriate pedagogical guidance across diverse learning environments.
