Abstract

The fashion industry is one of the major contributors to textile waste and environmental pollution, with millions of tons of fabric wasted every year. This research aims to explore the innovative use of patchwork as an eco-friendly material in sustainable fashion products. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) among the community and fashion industry players on Jl. William Iskandar Ps. V, Kenangan Baru, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency. The results showed that the community began to show interest in environmentally friendly fashion products, especially the younger generation who understand the importance of sustainability. In addition, the development of prototype products such as patchwork-based bags, clothing and accessories showed positive results in terms of comfort and attractiveness. However, the challenge of changing people's perception of patchwork and educating them on its benefits still needs to be overcome. Thus, utilizing patchwork as a raw material in the fashion industry can not only reduce textile waste, but also encourage public awareness about sustainability in fashion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menganalisis kinerja sistem trading otomatis(Expert Advisor - EA) untuk mengatasi kegagalan trader akibat manajemen dana yangburuk dan keputusan emosional di pasar volatil Brent Oil (XBRUSD). Sistem inimengintegrasikan metode Fixed Ratio Money Management (FRMM) dengan indikatorteknikal Parabolic SAR dan Commodity Channel Index (CCI). Menggunakan metodeResearch and Development (R&D) model Waterfall , EA dikembangkan di MetaTrader 5dan diuji pada time frame H1 dan H4. Strategi EA didasarkan pada sinyal reversal yangdikonfirmasi kondisi oversold/overbought CCI (<-100 atau >+100). Kinerja sistemdievaluasi melalui backtesting (Jan 2021 - Jan 2024) dan real-time testing (Agu-Sep 2025).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diskrepansi kinerja yang signifikan. Backtestingmenunjukkan profitabilitas sangat tipis (Net Profit H4: $95.91) namun dengan stabilitastinggi (Max Drawdown H4: 0.04%). Sebaliknya, real-time testing selama satu bulan gagalmenghasilkan profit dan merugi (Net Profit H4: $-1.46). Akurasi sinyal terbukti rendahdengan Win Rate di bawah 50% (Backtest H4: 41.10%). Disimpulkan bahwa metodeFRMM tidak efektif karena mekanisme peningkatan lot tidak pernah aktif, profit yangdihasilkan tidak pernah mencapai ambang batas "Delta" ($500-$2000) yang dibutuhkan.Stabilitas tinggi pada backtest murni disebabkan oleh strategi sinyal yang sangat konservatif dan frekuensi trading yang sangat rendah (73 trades/3 tahun), bukan karenamanajemen risiko FRMM yang superior
