Abstract

Renewable energy sources are worthy of being utilized and developed in Indonesia. Renewable energy has great potential considering Indonesia's geographic location. By utilizing solar panels, solar energy can be converted into electrical energy. Solar energy into electrical energy is still not optimally utilized. One of the methods used to optimize the use of solar energy into electrical energy through solar panels is a solar tracker system and real-time remote monitoring based on the Internet of Things. With a solar tracker system and remote monitoring, the solar energy absorbed by the solar panels which is then converted into electrical energy will be greater. The design of this solar tracker and remote monitoring system, to be able to work optimally and be able to find out how optimal the use of the solar tracker is regarding the amount of power produced by the solar panels and being able to monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, light intensity, air conditions and being able to find out how much influence these parameters have on the amount of power produced. The results of the research that has been carried out can be concluded that the power produced by solar panels with a solar tracker is an average of 21.61W. Light intensity is a parameter that influences the three other parameters on the amount of power produced by solar panels. The use of a solar tracker on a solar panel significantly impacts the amount of power produced by the solar panel.
