Abstract

Infidelity is a serious problem in marital relationships that can cause emotional trauma, especially for the victimized party. Mothers as victims of infidelity often face deep psychological distress and require special assistance for recovery. This article aims to explore effective pastoral counseling strategies for a mother who is a victim of infidelity. The purpose of this study is to analyze pastoral approaches that can provide emotional and spiritual support, and assist the victim's recovery process from the psychological and social impact of infidelity. This research used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study involved observation and interviews. The results showed that effective pastoral counseling involves an empathetic approach, spiritual support and guidance for emotional recovery. The counseling process includes active listening, providing faith affirmation, and helping victims forgive and rebuild confidence. In conclusion, pastoral counseling strategies play an important role in assisting victims of infidelity, not only in terms of emotional recovery, but also in supporting them to rediscover inner peace through a holistic and spiritual approach.
