Abstract

This study explores the impact of interpersonal communication transformation influenced by the Internet of Things (IoT) on the quality of social relationships and the dynamics of digital culture within Indonesian society. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research examines individuals' experiences and perceptions of shifting communication patterns due to the integration of IoT devices in a culturally collective context. Data were collected through participant observation and digital documentation of interactions on social media platforms and messaging applications. The findings reveal that although IoT enhances connectivity and communication efficiency, excessive reliance on smart devices significantly reduces emotional depth and the quality of face-to-face interactions. Additionally, the study identifies selective adaptation in digital communication patterns, where Indonesian society leverages IoT to strengthen social networks without fully replacing warm and personal face-to-face interactions. These findings indicate a shift in interpersonal communication values, prioritizing efficiency and accessibility over emotional warmth. This study contributes to the development of digital communication theory within a collectivist cultural context and offers practical insights for technology developers and policymakers in designing adaptive and human-centered digital ecosystems. Future research should consider a longitudinal approach to explore the long-term effects of IoT usage on social interaction patterns and cultural value changes in digital society

Abstract

Community empowerment is an important strategy in improving the welfare and economic independence of rural communities. One effort that can be made is through hydroponic vegetable cultivation, which has great potential in increasing food production, land efficiency, and increasing community income sources. This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of community empowerment through hydroponic vegetable cultivation in Pematang Village, Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency. The P2M approach uses Participatory Action Research (PAR) and qualitative research approaches, including observations, interviews, and related literature studies. The study results indicate that the hydroponic program provides significant benefits in improving community skills in soilless farming, increasing the availability of healthy food, and opening up business opportunities for the local community. In addition, the involvement of farmer groups and support from the local government are important factors in the success of this program. With ongoing assistance and hydroponic-based entrepreneurship training, the Pematang Village community can become more independent and competitive in the modern agricultural sector.

Abstract

his study proposes an intelligent resource orchestration system for AI-driven digital commerce platforms using a reinforcement learning (RL) framework to address growing challenges in dynamic workload management, latency reduction, and service efficiency. Grounded in contemporary advances in machine learning–based cloud orchestration, the research investigates the effectiveness of the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm in optimizing resource allocation under complex, non-stationary platform conditions. A simulation-based experimental design was employed, incorporating real-world platform logs and synthetic workload scenarios to evaluate system responsiveness, throughput, and cost efficiency relative to heuristic and threshold-based baselines. The findings demonstrate that the RL-driven orchestrator consistently outperforms conventional methods, achieving superior latency reductions, improved throughput stability, and enhanced adaptability during peak-load fluctuations. The results further show that the agent effectively learns optimal policies despite environmental uncertainty, validating the feasibility of model-free RL for large-scale digital commerce environments. The study contributes theoretically by extending sequential decision-making models to digital commerce orchestration and practically by offering a scalable, autonomous solution that enhances platform performance. Limitations include the controlled simulation environment and the focus on a single RL algorithm, suggesting the need for real-world deployment and exploration of alternative RL variants in future research. Overall, the study strengthens the case for adopting RL-based orchestration as a foundational architecture for next-generation intelligent digital commerce systems.
