Abstract

This community service program aims to implement the Business Integrative Sustainable (BIS) concept at BUMDesa Mutiara Saghara in Bunder Village, Pamekasan. This village has great potential in the field of salt production, but less than optimal management has resulted in low contribution to Village Original Income (PAD) and community welfare. The method used in this service is a participatory and mentoring approach, starting from socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activities show development, especially in terms of managing thought patterns and beliefs. The participation of BUMDesa administrators has begun to run according to their duties and functions, they earn income from the results of their work. Community support is starting to be seen and continues to increase, starting from PKK women who help with sales so that turnover continues to increase. Apart from that, salt farmers are also enthusiastic about farming because their agricultural products are purchased by BUMDesa at prices higher than market prices. Salt edutourism is experiencing consistent development with a commitment to open every Saturday and Sunday. This program can be said to have succeeded in opening up new jobs and increasing the independence of the village economy through optimizing local potential.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management of Bukit Tawap Nature Tourism based on Community-Based Tourism (CBT), and to develop a model with the Degrees of Citizen Power approach. This study is a type of participatory descriptive qualitative research using a participatory phenomenological approach and FGD approach, and was analyzed using Atlas.Ti software. The results found that the implementation of Bukit Tawap tourism is based on the spirit of cooperation of the community facilitated by the village government. The main challenge in managing CBT is changing the mindset and improving the coordination pattern between parties. The development of this model was made as an effort to adapt to local conditions and needs, as well as to build an institutional coordination framework between the village government and managers. The success of CBT management is highly dependent on multi-party collaboration and strengthening local capacity.

Abstract

Seaweed is a leading commodity in Sumenep Regency. However, post-harvest quality remains low due to traditional drying methods, which, in turn, affects selling prices and farmer welfare. This community service program aims to improve the quality and competitiveness of seaweed farmers in Pagarbatu Village by applying SW-Solar Dryer technology. Implementation methods include outreach, management and production training, SW-Solar Dryer application, mentoring, and ongoing evaluation with "Kelana" fishing group partners. The results showed that the SW-Solar Dryer can reduce drying time from 2–3 days to just 5–8 hours. It maintains product hygiene because the process is carried out in a closed room. Moisture content produced also meets industry standards. Furthermore, the mentoring program encouraged diversification of processed seaweed-based products. This increased farmers' income and reduced dependence on collectors. Thus, the application of SW-Solar Dryer technology has proven effective in improving post-harvest management, expanding business opportunities, and creating more competitive seaweed farmers.
