Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze publications on the effectiveness of E-modules in learning mathematics in junior high schools based on research journal articles in the last five years, from 2019 to 2024. The systematic literature review method was used with the guidance of the PRISMA diagram. Data were obtained from 246 articles from ERIC, Scopus, and Sinta databases. After screening, 11 articles were found that met the criteria as samples. The findings of this study indicate that E-modules are effective in learning mathematics in junior high school. The characteristics of E-modules include aspects of self-instruction, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, user-friendly, interactive, and self-regulated. Mathematical skills or knowledge that are often researched are learning outcomes. Future research should investigate the effectiveness of E-modules in other mathematics skills or knowledge.

Abstract

RME is an approach to teaching that starts from things that are real for students. This is relevant to current education that focuses not only on academic knowledge but also on the development of relevant skills for the world of work and everyday life. The purpose of this article is to find out the research trends regarding the realistic approach to mathematics education in secondary school and to find out the research topics that have the potential to be used as research in the future. The method used in this research is bibliometric analysis. The research data was obtained through Harzing's Publish or Perish software with Google Scholar database, the keywords realistic mathematics education and junior high school, the maximum number of results is 1000 abstracts, and the keywords are written in English and Bahasa Indonesia. The articles obtained were 960 articles with a period of 2010-2024. Then, restricted to Scopus-accredited journals, Sinta 2, and Sinta 3; there are 99 articles were obtained. The results showed that the publication trend with the research theme of an RME approach experienced the highest increase between 2016-2018 and 2021-2023. In addition, the research theme of the RME approach, which has the opportunity to be used as research in the future, has two keywords, namely systematic literature review and reasoning.

Abstract

Constructivism is a learning theory perspective that strongly influences how mathematics is learned. Since secondary school students are just beginning to recognize and understand abstract thought processes, it is not appropriate to educate them through meaningless memorization, especially in mathematics which is full of abstract symbols. The writing of this article aims to find out the research trends regarding the constructivism approach and to find out the research themes that have the opportunity to be used as research in the future. The method in this research is using bibliometric analysis. Research data obtained through Harzing's Publish or Perish software with Google scholar database, keywords constructivism and junior high school geometry and the result of the maximum number "1000", the article obtained as many as 996 articles with a period of 2017-2023. Then limited to accredited journals sinta 2 obtained 50 articles. The results showed that the publication trend with the research theme of the constructivism approach experienced the highest increase between 2017 - 2020. In addition, the theme of research on the constructivism approach that has the opportunity to be used as research in the future there are four keywords, namely constructivism and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME).
