Abstract

Teachers are one of the groups at high risk of experiencing lower back pain (LBP). Teachers often experience lower back pain due to static sitting or working positions, which can trigger repetitive strain injuries. Community service aims to identify efforts to prevent and treat lower back pain in teachers. The method used is a quantitative approach by looking at the effects before and after education is given. The results of activities for SMAN 10 teachers showed a decrease in the average complaint of lower back pain before education was given 5.9 and after becoming 2.3, it was proven to be effective in overcoming the problem of lower back pain disorders

Abstract

Multiple autoimmune syndrome (MAS) is characterized by the presence of at least three autoimmune diseases, presenting complex clinical challenges due to overlapping conditions and varied manifestations. Multiple autoimmune syndrome is rarely reported in men, particularly with the combination of Graves’ disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). We report a case of a 22-year-old male who presented with symptoms of jaundice, significant weight loss, and classic signs of hyperthyroidism, including palpitations and tremors. Physical examination revealed jaundice, exophthalmos, and an enlarged thyroid gland, and he was diagnosed with Graves' disease, SLE, and AIH. Additional findings included stasis dermatitis and an atrial septal defect (ASD) with a moderate risk of pulmonary hypertension. The patient received thiamazole, propranolol, and corticosteroids, leading to clinical stabilization and symptom resolution. This rare MAS case with concurrent Graves’ disease, SLE, and AIH highlights the need for accurate diagnosis and individualized management. The immunological interplay among these diseases contributes to diverse clinical manifestations, requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Our patient’s management strategy effectively controlled hyperthyroidism, mitigated hepatic inflammation, and stabilized cardiac function, illustrating the effectiveness of comprehensive therapy. In young patients presenting with multiple autoimmune symptoms, MAS should be considered, especially with unusual combinations. Early detection and tailored treatment approaches, along with interdisciplinary collaboration, are essential to manage MAS and its associated complications.

Abstract

Based on data from the HSE department at PT X, North Jakarta, from 2021 to 2024, the highest number of occupational accidents (KAK) occurred among grinding workers, totaling 12 cases. The types of accidents experienced by workers included metal sparks in the eyes, cuts, lacerations, scratches, and first-aid injuries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of occupational accidents among grinding workers at PT X using the Systematic Cause Analysis Technique (SCAT) method. This research is a descriptive-analytic study using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research was conducted between July and August 2025. The research population consisted of 32 people, including 30 grinding workers who had experienced accidents, 1 HSE manager, and 1 field coordinator. The sample for this study is the same as the population. Data analysis used univariate analysis and the SCAT method analysis. Based on the results, the most frequent accident experienced by grinding workers was metal sparks in the eyes, involving 30 respondents (100%). The direct causes of these accidents were the use of inadequate PPE by 15 respondents (50%) and the improper use of grinding tools by 11 respondents (36.7%). It is recommended that management commit to maximizing the implementation of established K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) programs and standards so that work-related accidents can be prevented and zero accidents can be achieved.
