Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing moral values in learning the Qur'an at the Nurul Ahmadi Children's Boarding School Catakgayam Mojowarno Jombang. Using a qualitative approach with a case study type, the research was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the pesantren implemented a structured learning system with three learning times a day using the classical-individual method. The internalization of moral values is carried out through three stages: providing information, practice, and habituation, which is supported by the habituation method, setting rules with clear consequences, and providing motivation. This program is proven to be effective in shaping the character of santri, reflected in positive changes in discipline, language use, and adab towards teachers. The success of this program is supported by the commitment of the teachers in providing examples and the consistency of the implementation of the learning system. The internalization model of moral values applied makes a significant contribution to the development of pesantren-based character education, especially in early childhood students, and can be a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in developing similar programs.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of household and household-like waste management policies from the perspective of Siyasah Tanfidziyah, focusing on the exercise of governmental authority in policy execution. The research aims to analyze how local governments implement waste management regulations and to assess their alignment with Islamic principles of governance oriented toward public welfare (maslahah). This study employs field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews and documentation at the local Environmental Service, while secondary data were collected from relevant books, journals, and regulatory documents. Data were analyzed using descriptive analytical techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of waste management policies remains suboptimal due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited public education, and insufficient internalization of Islamic values related to environmental stewardship. These constraints hinder the effective realization of environmentally sustainable governance as envisioned in Siyasah Tanfidziyah. The study concludes that effective waste management requires the integration of regulatory enforcement with a religious-based approach that emphasizes public awareness and collective responsibility. Accordingly, this study recommends strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing Islamic-based environmental education, and promoting cross-sector collaboration at the community level to improve policy effectiveness

Abstract

The integration of local traditions into Islamic marriage law presents a complex dynamic in Indonesia, particularly within the Samin community in Blora Regency, which firmly adheres to the tradition of weton calculation or “ilmu titen”. This study aims to analyze the legal standing of the weton tradition within the framework of Islamic law (‘urf) and to deconstruct its cultural meaning using Roland Barthes’ Semiotic Myth theory. Employing empirical legal research methods with a juridical-sociological approach, this qualitative study collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation in Kediren Village, the historical center of Samin teachings. The results indicate that the weton tradition is systematically integrated into the Nyumuk, Nyuwito, and Paseksen marriage stages, where this calculation serves not as a fatalistic prediction, but as an instrument for psychological risk management and a form of cautious effort (ikhtiar). The study concludes that weton qualifies as ‘urf shahih (valid custom) as it has harmonized with the pillars of Islamic marriage without violating the principles of monotheistic faith (tauhid). Furthermore, as a semiotic myth, weton functions to naturalize cultural values into perceived natural truths, effectively maintaining the communal identity and social order of the Samin community amidst modernization
