Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi pendahuluan untuk mengetahui pandangan awal siswa tentang penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMAN 15 Padang. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dilakukan analisis mendalam terhadap pandangan siswa tentang penggunaan media pembelajaran yang meliputi lima aspek, yaitu: pengalaman belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran, preferensi media pembelajaran, akses penggunaan media pembelajaran, efektivitas pembelajaran, dan keterlibatan dan interaktivitas. Sebanyak 15 orang mahasiswa dipilih secara purposive untuk dijadikan subjek penelitian atau informan penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan analisis data dilakukan dengan cara analisis deskriptif. Analisis data menunjukkan hasil berikut ini. Pertama, dari segi pengalaman belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran, siswa merasa guru masih belum menggunakan sarana pembelajaran secara maksimal. Siswa masih kesulitan belajar karena pembelajaran  dilaksanakan belum bervariasi karena guru menggunakan buku teks pelajaran dan sesekali menggunakan infokus untuk membantu menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Kedua, dari segi preferensi media pembelajaran, siswa merasa nyaman menggunakan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi karena dapat membantu mereka meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Ketiga, dari segi akses penggunaan media pembelajaran, siswa mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan media yang digunakan guru di kelas. Mereka biasanya mengakses informasi menggunakan ponsel di luar sekolah karena ponsel hanya boleh digunakan di luar sekolah. Keempat, efektivitas pembelajaran, siswa merasa pembelajaran terasa menyenangkan jika guru menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif. Kelima, keterlibatan dan interaktivitas, siswa merasa pemberian kuis dan simulasi sangat menarik. Sebagian siswa merasa lebih senang belajar secara mandiri dan sebagian lagi menyukai pembelajaran dengan adanya bimbingan langsung dari guru. Dengan demikian, guru perlu merencanakan media pembelajaran yang tepat dan bervariasi, serta sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the needs analysis of learning media to evaluate information in negotiation text at SMAN 15 Padang. The needs analysis includes learning needs analysis, learning objectives, learners' characteristics, and learning environment to evaluate information in negotiation text. By using qualitative approach and description method, the data obtained through observation, interview, and questionnaire were analyzed in depth. The results showed that students at SMAN 15 Padang, in terms of learning needs, need access to technology in the form of negotiation simulation videos with interactive animations that visualize the negotiation process; in terms of learning objectives, students need media that help them unravel the structure of negotiation texts, assess arguments, and practice negotiations; in terms of learner characteristics, students generally like visual media and gamification so they need media that can facilitate various learning styles of students; and in terms of learning environment, students need access to interactive media, google docs for joint evaluation, and comfortable classrooms. Thus, students need learning media that is contextual/relevant to their daily lives, participatory/demanding students to be creative, adaptive to their diverse learning styles, and feedback such as quizzes to measure their skills.

Abstract

Learning media is used as a tool that helps teachers to teach and helps students to learn. Students need interactive learning media that is contextual, participatory, adaptive, and provides feedback to measure the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to evaluate the practicality of interactive learning media in learning to evaluate information in negotiation texts. Using descriptive quantitative approach, this study involved 30 students and 3 subject teachers to give their responses to interactive learning media in learning to evaluate information in negotiation texts that have been designed and validated by experts. The research data was collected using a practicality questionnaire for teachers and students. The results showed that teachers and students stated that the interactive learning media on the material of evaluating information in negotiation texts were declared very practical. Teachers stated that the learning media was very practical with a percentage of 93.33% in the aspects of ease of use, time efficiency, usefulness, students' interest, and suitability for learning materials. Students also stated that the learning media was very practical with a percentage of 82.46% in the aspects of ease of use, involvement and interest, ease of understanding, support for learning, and suitability with learning materials. Thus, this interactive learning media can be used as a reference and tool for teachers and students to learn to evaluate information in negotiation texts.

Abstract

This study aims to test the validity of interactive learning media on material evaluating information in negotiation texts for high school students. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the media developed based on needs analysis was assessed by three media experts and three subject matter experts through a questionnaire instrument. The results of the analysis show that the media obtained a very high validity score, with a percentage of 83.33% from media experts (covering aspects of design, interactivity, and accessibility) and 87.67% from subject matter experts (covering aspects of content suitability, presentation, and language). These findings confirm that the interactive media is feasible and valid for implementation in teaching negotiation texts at the high school level.
