Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penggunaan bungkil inti sawit yang difermentasi dengan Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (BISF) dapat meningkatkan kandungan nutrisinya sehingga dapat dijadikan pakan alternatif ternak unggas yang dapat mengurangi penggunaan jagung dan bungkil kedelai dalam ransum broiler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh dan mendapatkan batasan optimal level pemberian BISF dalam ransum terhadap kolesterol hati, darah, daging dan performa karkas broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan broiler strain MB-202 Platinum sebanyak 80 ekor yang diberi produk fermentasi dalam ransum mulai umur 2 minggu (umur 15 hari) sampai broiler umur 6 minggu. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan ransum dengan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari A (0% BISF), B (20% BISF), C (25% BISF), D (30% BISF), dan E (35% BISF). Parameter yang diukur adalah kolesterol darah (mg/dl), kolesterol daging (mg/100g), kolesterol hati (mg/100g), bobot hidup (g/ekor), persentase karkas (%), dan persentase lemak abdomen (%). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan penggunaan BISF dalam ransum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kolesterol hati, kolesterol darah, kolesterol daging, dan bobot hidup broiler serta berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase karkas dan persentase lemak abdomen. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan produk fermentasi sampai level 30% dalam ransum masih dapat mempertahankan karkas broiler dan digunakan sampai level 35% dapat menurunkan kandungan kolesterol hati, darah, dan daging broiler.Kata kunci: Bungkil inti sawit, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, kolesterol, karkas, broilerGiving Palm Kernel Meal Fermented with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens in Rations on Cholesterol Content of Liver, Blood, Meat and Carcass Performance of BroilersABSTRACT. The use of palm kernel meal fermented with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (PKCF) can increase its nutritional content so that it can be used as an alternative poultry feed that can reduce the use of corn and soybean meal in broiler rations. This research aims to study the effect and get the optimal limit of the level of feedingPKCF in the ration on cholesterol content of liver, blood, and meat and broiler carcass performance. This study used MB-202 Platinum strain broilers as many as 80 heads that were given fermented products in the ration starting at the age of 2 weeks (15 days old) until broilers aged 6 weeks. The research method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications. The treatments arrangement applied were  A (0% BISF), B (20% BISF), C (25% BISF), D (30% BISF), and E (35% BISF). The variables observed in this study were liver cholesterol (mg/100g), blood cholesterol (mg/dl), meat cholesterol (mg/100g), live weight (g/head), carcass percentage (%), and abdominal fat percentage (%). The results showed that the use of BISF in the ration had significant effect (P < 0.05) on blood cholesterol, meat cholesterol, liver cholesterol, broiler live weight but had no significant effect (P>0,05) on carcass percentage and abdominal fat percentage. The conclusion of this study were the use of fermentation products up to 30% in the ration could maintain broiler carcasses and up to 35% could reduce the cholesterol content of liver, blood, and broiler meat.
