Abstract

The objective of this research is to understand the role of the headmaster in enhancing the quality of teacher resources at SMP Negeri 8 Sarolangun. This study was conducted over a period of 4 months, from August 2024 to December 2024, using a descriptive qualitative method with the headmaster as the key respondent and 3 teachers as additional respondents. Data collection in this research was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and documentation, while data analysis techniques included domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, and componential analysis. Based on the research findings, information was obtained regarding the role of the school principal in improving the quality of teacher resources at SMP Negeri 8 Sarolangun, which includes: (1) holding regular meetings, (2) assigning additional tasks and responsibilities to each teacher beyond teaching activities, and (3) supervising teachers during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi, terhadap kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian populasi sedangkan populasinya adalah seluruh pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sarolangun pada tahun 2022 yang terdiri dari 85 responden. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik kuesioner melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Hasil analisis yang dapat dilaporkan adalah : (1) Kuesioner semua variabel valid dan hasil variabilitasnya reliabel, (2) Hasil uji asumsi klasik menunjukkan bahwa variabel x dan y linear dan berdistribusi normal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan persamaan regresi adalah : Y = 4,808 + 0,265 X; (1) Uji t variabel kompetensi, dengan value 0,000; sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, yang berarti variabel kompetensi tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. (2) besaran pengaruh variabel kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai berdasarkan nilai koefisien regresi (1 = 0,324) lebih besar dari variabel lainnya. (3) Uji koefisien determinasi Adjusted R² = 0,474; artinya variabel kompetensi dijelaskan sebesar 47,4%, selanjutnya lebih dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya.

Abstract

The waste crisis in Indonesia requires creative and innovative approaches that go beyond traditional regulatory measures alone. This study examines the application of nudging strategies in public policy as an effort to encourage behavioral change toward sustainable consumption and the formation of zero-waste communities. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review and comparative analysis of relevant waste management policies and practices. The findings identify five main nudging strategies—default options, social norms, simplification, framing, and salience—which have the potential to influence individual decision-making in a non-coercive manner. The results indicate that nudging strategies are more effective in shaping environmentally friendly behavior when supported by adequate infrastructure and active involvement from government, the private sector, and the community. The implementation of packaging return systems, simplification of waste sorting processes, and social norm–based campaigns have proven effective in increasing public participation and awareness. However, major challenges remain, including limited infrastructure, high consumption patterns, and weak coordination among stakeholders. Therefore, this study recommends the development of an integrated policy model that combines nudging strategies, economic incentives, and local regulations to accelerate the transition toward a zero-waste society in Indonesia.
