Abstract

Film is a medium of communication that has entertainment and artistic value for the audience. The development of films in Indonesia is growing rapidly, as can be seen from the growth of cinemas in various regions in Indonesia, where cinema is the main viewing medium for film connoisseurs. Therefore, the success of a film can be seen from the number of audiences who buy tickets for the film at the cinema. This study will describe what promotional strategies are used by film production houses for the highest-grossing films in Indonesia's history. The research methodology used in this study is in the form of a literature study by reviewing the journals of the research first. The results of this study indicate that the promotional strategies carried out by the house include placing advertisements on all media, approaching potential viewers, and evaluating the promotional activities that have been carried out.

Abstract

The film industry is booming right now, especially in Indonesia. As a means of entertainment and conveying messages to the public, various cinema themes have been produced. This study aims to qualitatively analyze the content (content analysis) in the exposure of the film "Nanti Kita Stories About Hari (NKCTHI)" which is a family drama genre that describes the position and role of a man, husband, and father in a family that is sued by a child. their children according to the development of the times. The message of NKCTHI's film is to challenge male domination as partner and father in a patriarchal culture where men still have the authority and center of power.

Abstract

In film the role of Production Designer is very important because it is responsible for mise-en-scene writing, which includes the design and visuals of the entire film production. Production Designers have the task of designing and creating design drawings for various elements in the film, such as locations, graphics, props, lighting, scenes, makeup, and costumes. This research will investigate the role and contribution of Production Designers in the film industry, especially in the context of visual production design, revealing a number of challenges and critical aspects that may be faced by Production Designers. What are the new technologies used by Production Designers in the visual production design process? How do production designers balance their creative vision with the constraints and realities of production? What awards have Production Designers received for their contributions to the film industry? The research method used to investigate the role and contribution of Production Designers in the film industry, especially in the context of visual production design is qualitative research methods. The role of a Production Designer in filmmaking is very important, because a Production Designer will be responsible for building the mood and look in the artistic order that will be built on the film according to the concept of the film's story including the use of color. In this research, it has been revealed that Production Designers use various technologies and innovations to produce impressive production designs. By continuing to use innovative technology and creativity, Production Designers will continue to be a major force in creating impressive visuals and changing the way we experience and appreciate film.

Abstract

Perkembangan bidang teknologi digital telah menciptakan tantangan dan peluang baru ke dunia pendidikan dan juga industri kreatif. Maksud dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk menganalisa masalah-masalah dan kemungkinan-kemungkinan dalam produksi konten dan video digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara dan survei dengan praktisi di bidang yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lulusan memiliki pengetahuan digital, tetapi mereka menghadapi kesenjangan antara pengetahuan teoritis dan keterampilan praktis untuk membuat konten multimedia. Selain itu, untuk membuat konten interaktif, penggunaan teknologi seperti augmented reality (AR) dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) semakin penting. Oleh karena itu, institusi pendidikan harus membuat kurikulum yang menggabungkan teori dan praktik serta meningkatkan kemampuan siswa untuk berkomunikasi dan bekerja sama dalam dunia digital untuk menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

Several aspects show the changes taking place in the Indonesian horror film industry, and the correlation between changes at the international level and local phenomena is very clear. First, using local myths and legends as the basis of the story shows that the audience is drawn to content rooted in local traditions and culture. Secondly, technological advances around the world have led to improved visual quality and special effects in horror films. Third, production and distribution standards have been improved due to greater collaboration with the global film industry. As a result, Indonesian horror films have had a wider impact around the world. The methodological approach carried out in this study is called literature research. The results showed that in addition, the genre of horror films is changing by trying to include variations such as psychological, comedy, and supernatural horror to cater to different tastes of audiences. The narrative and message of the film also changed, with some Indonesian horror films incorporating social messages or social criticism, giving deep meaning to the horror story. In promoting Indonesian horror films, pop culture and social media play an important role as they allow producers to use viral trends, memes, and direct interaction with the audience. Overall, these transformations demonstrate the film producers' ability to adapt and be creative to technological and cultural transformations while maintaining a strong local cultural identity. Abstract

In the post-truth era, where the lines between facts and opinions are often blurred, documentaries face great challenges in maintaining narrative integrity, especially when presenting controversial or sensitive issues. The study explores how documentaries can navigate these challenges bymaintaining a balance between compelling facts and narratives, verifying information thoroughly, and using cinematic techniques wisely to avoid emotional manipulation. The study also discusses the importance of transparency in the production process and the ethical responsibility ofdocumentaries in preventing polarization and the spread of misinformation. Through a qualitative approach, the study analyzes relevant documentary film examples, such as "The Social Dilemma" and "Leaving Neverland," to identify best practices in maintaining credibility and honesty in documentary narratives in the post-truth era.

Abstract

The film business has numerous significant difficulties among economic uncertainty and growing need for sustainable practices. Especially in the digital era, this research seeks to underline these problems and investigate creative ideas that might be used. Using literature research to examine several works on the difficulties and creative advances in film production, the hired approach is qualitative. The findings show that although encouraging sustainable practices, the acceptance of new technologies such artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) could satisfy changing audience needs and enhance manufacturing efficiency. Thus, cooperation among government agencies, local producers, distributors, and platform providers determines the future expansion and viability of the film industry.
