Abstract

Coherent paragraph is a fundamental concept in writing that ensures unity and cohesion within each paragraph. Unity means every sentence focuses on a single main idea or topic, while cohesion ensures that the sentences are well-connected through conjunctions, repetition of key words, and consistent references. The method used in this writing is expository, which is employed to explain the concept of coherent paragraphs in detail. Coherent paragraphs facilitate readers in following the author's train of thought, enhancing message clarity, and maintaining logical structure in writing. In various writing contexts, be it academic, professional, or creative, coherent paragraphs aid in conveying ideas more clearly and effectively. This article discusses the importance of coherent paragraphs, the elements that constitute them, and provides examples of their application to improve writing quality.
