Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of exports, imports, inflation, and unemployment on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The type of data used in this study is secondary data using panel data which is a combination of 2020-2024 time series data and cross-section data of 20 G20 member countries. The research was obtained from publications of the World Bank and other related agencies. The analysis used was descriptive analysis and inductive analysis. For the inductive analysis, this study employed panel data regression with a fixed effects model. The results showed that exports have a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The export variable has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. Furthermore, the import variable has a negative and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The inflation variable has a positive but insignificant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. This study also found that the unemployment variable has a negative and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. Keywords: Exports, Imports, Inflation, Unemployment, GDP Per Capita

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transfer funds to regions, tax ratio, and open unemployment rate on poverty in Sumatra Island. The method used is panel data regression. The regression results show that transfer funds to the regions have no significant effect and are positively related to poverty. Meanwhile, the tax ratio and the open unemployment rate have a significant effect and are positively related to poverty. The findings of this study underscore the importance of optimizing the utilization of transfer funds, improving local tax performance, and encouraging sustainable job creation. To reduce poverty in Sumatra Island, local governments need to improve the quality of public spending, broaden the tax base, and strengthen employment policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of public infrastructure on economic growth in Indonesia from 2019 to 2023. The approach used is quantitative with a panel data regression method, utilizing secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The public infrastructure variables analyzed include road length, electricity access, internet access, and educational facilities in 34 provinces. The estimation results show that all public infrastructure variables simultaneously have a significant influence on GRDP per capita. Partially, road length and internet access are proven to have a significant influence on GRDP per capita, indicating that both variables play a role in increasing economic efficiency such as facilitating the distribution of goods and services, and encouraging digital economic activities. Meanwhile, the variables of electricity access and educational facilities (classrooms) do not have a significant effect on GRDP per capita. Although the coefficient of determination in this study is relatively low at 7.76%, this finding confirms that road and internet infrastructure are the driving force of national economic growth. The results of this study highlight the importance of policies in equitable infrastructure development between regions as a foundation for driving long-term economic growth.

Abstract

The open unemployment rate (TPT) remains a key indicator reflecting labor market issues in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the impact of the minimum wage, education level, investment, and internet access on the open unemployment rate in Indonesia. A quantitative approach using panel data covering 34 provinces over the 2018–2024 period was employed. Data were obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Analysis was conducted using panel data regression, involving model selection, classical assumption testing, partial and simultaneous tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that the minimum wage and education level have a positive and significant effect on the open unemployment rate. Investment has a positive and significant effect on the open unemployment rate, whereas internet access has a negative but insignificant effect. Collectively, the four variables have a significant impact on the open unemployment rate in Indonesia. These findings suggest that labor policies need to be integrated with efforts to improve human resource quality, create an investment climate capable of absorbing labor, and develop more equitable digital infrastructure to support the reduction of the open unemployment rate.
