Abstract

Gout, also known as arthritis gout, is a degenerative disease that attacks the joints, and is most often found in the community, especially the elderly. Management of people with gout arthritis is focused on controlling pain. Pain can be minimized by providing non-pharmacological therapeutic measures and one of them is a warm compress. Purpose: to analyze / explain how the effect of warm water compresses on decreasing arthritis gout pain scale in the elderly. Methods: The method used in writing this literature review is by searching the internet from a database with high and medium quality criteria, namely Scopus, ProQuest, Pubmed, CINAHL and Scient Direct, but some journals also use a number of health links such as Curren nursing and others. , using keywords (influence, warm compress, arthritis gout). Results & Analysis: From 15 articles from 2015 to 2020, the inclusion criteria were obtained and analyzed, while the designs in this analysis were quasi-experimental (14 articles / research) and literature review (1 article / research), then there was 1 article. journals discussing warm water compresses, 7 journals discussing the combination of warm water with ginger decoction, and 1 journal each discussing the combination of warm water compresses (salt, cinnamon, lemongrass and moringa leaf soaks) on reducing the pain scale of arthritis gout in the elderly. Conclusions & Suggestions: the results of the analysis of this study indicate that there is an effect between compresses of warm water and warm water combined with (ginger, salt, cinnamon, lemongrass & moringa leaves) on reducing the scale of gouty arthritis pain in the elderly. So it is recommended that people with arthritis gout be able to apply this intervention so that the pain they feel can be reduced or lost.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that the sufferer will suffer throughout their life. Diabetes mellitus is usually known as the mother of disease. Type-2 DM is caused by several factors including obesity, physical activity/exercise, age, wrong lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. Objective: This study aims to analyze/explain the factors that influence the increase in blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients. Method: The method used in writing this literature review is internet search from databases with high and medium quality criteria, namely Scopus, ProQuest, Pubmed, CINAHL and Scient Direct, but several journals also use several health links such as Curren Nursing and others, using keywords (factors, increased blood sugar levels & type 2 DM). Results & Analysis: Of the 15 articles from 2016 to 2020 that met the inclusion criteria that were obtained and analyzed, there were 12 articles/journals using a Cross Sectional Study design, Literature Review (1 article/research), Quantitative descriptive (1 article/research) , and Accidental sampling (1 article/research), then there are 7 articles/journals discussing physical activity, 6 articles/journals discussing eating patterns/diet, 5 articles/journals discussing anxiety/stress levels, 3 articles/journals each discussing about (knowledge & family support) and 2 articles/journals each discussing (genetics & certain diseases) on increasing blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients. Conclusion & Suggestions: there are various factors that can increase blood sugar levels, both factors that cannot be changed (genetics & certain diseases) or factors that can be changed (physical activity, eating patterns/diet, anxiety/stress levels, knowledge & family support). So it is recommended that type 2 DM sufferers adopt a healthy lifestyle so that their blood sugar can be controlled or decreased.

Abstract

Whitening cream is a mixture of chemicals and/or other ingredients with the property of fading black spots on the skin. The total use of mercury through small-scale gold mining throughout Indonesia is estimated at 13.94 –192.53 tons/year. This is based on the estimated amount of mercury use in one location reaching 6.2 – 85.63 kg Hg/year. This research is descriptive research with a cross sectional approach design, namely research measuring variables only once at a certain time with a student population of SMAN 2 Mamuju and 193 willing respondents. The results of this research show that of the 193 respondents, 25 respondents had knowledge of 13.0%, 164 respondents did not know 85.0%, 4 respondents did not know 2.1%. It is recommended that this research provide education regarding safe cosmetics to the public, especially teenagers, to be more careful in choosing cosmetics that are safe and healthy to use, especially considering that there are many traders out there who cannot be held responsible for what they have done
