Abstract

Gout, also known as arthritis gout, is a degenerative disease that attacks the joints, and is most often found in the community, especially the elderly. Management of people with gout arthritis is focused on controlling pain. Pain can be minimized by providing non-pharmacological therapeutic measures and one of them is a warm compress. Purpose: to analyze / explain how the effect of warm water compresses on decreasing arthritis gout pain scale in the elderly. Methods: The method used in writing this literature review is by searching the internet from a database with high and medium quality criteria, namely Scopus, ProQuest, Pubmed, CINAHL and Scient Direct, but some journals also use a number of health links such as Curren nursing and others. , using keywords (influence, warm compress, arthritis gout). Results & Analysis: From 15 articles from 2015 to 2020, the inclusion criteria were obtained and analyzed, while the designs in this analysis were quasi-experimental (14 articles / research) and literature review (1 article / research), then there was 1 article. journals discussing warm water compresses, 7 journals discussing the combination of warm water with ginger decoction, and 1 journal each discussing the combination of warm water compresses (salt, cinnamon, lemongrass and moringa leaf soaks) on reducing the pain scale of arthritis gout in the elderly. Conclusions & Suggestions: the results of the analysis of this study indicate that there is an effect between compresses of warm water and warm water combined with (ginger, salt, cinnamon, lemongrass & moringa leaves) on reducing the scale of gouty arthritis pain in the elderly. So it is recommended that people with arthritis gout be able to apply this intervention so that the pain they feel can be reduced or lost.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that the sufferer will suffer throughout their life. Diabetes mellitus is usually known as the mother of disease. Type-2 DM is caused by several factors including obesity, physical activity/exercise, age, wrong lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. Objective: This study aims to analyze/explain the factors that influence the increase in blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients. Method: The method used in writing this literature review is internet search from databases with high and medium quality criteria, namely Scopus, ProQuest, Pubmed, CINAHL and Scient Direct, but several journals also use several health links such as Curren Nursing and others, using keywords (factors, increased blood sugar levels & type 2 DM). Results & Analysis: Of the 15 articles from 2016 to 2020 that met the inclusion criteria that were obtained and analyzed, there were 12 articles/journals using a Cross Sectional Study design, Literature Review (1 article/research), Quantitative descriptive (1 article/research) , and Accidental sampling (1 article/research), then there are 7 articles/journals discussing physical activity, 6 articles/journals discussing eating patterns/diet, 5 articles/journals discussing anxiety/stress levels, 3 articles/journals each discussing about (knowledge & family support) and 2 articles/journals each discussing (genetics & certain diseases) on increasing blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients. Conclusion & Suggestions: there are various factors that can increase blood sugar levels, both factors that cannot be changed (genetics & certain diseases) or factors that can be changed (physical activity, eating patterns/diet, anxiety/stress levels, knowledge & family support). So it is recommended that type 2 DM sufferers adopt a healthy lifestyle so that their blood sugar can be controlled or decreased.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is the main indicator in assessing the quality of health services in hospitals. One factor that plays a role in patient satisfaction is therapeutic communication carried out by nurses. Effective therapeutic communication can build a relationship of mutual trust between nurses and patients, increasing patient comfort and satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction treated in the Mawar and Melati rooms at the Mamuju District Hospital. This study used a cross-sectional design with a simple random sampling technique. The study sample consisted of inpatients who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire that measured the level of nurse therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The results of this study indicate that the p-value is 0.440 (>0.05), which means that there is no significant relationship between the therapeutic communication of nurses at the Mamuju District Hospital and the level of patient satisfaction at the Mamuju District Hospital. This indicates that other factors, such as health facilities, responsiveness of services, and patient conditions, may have a greater influence on patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang menjadi penyebab kematian dini secara global. Prevalensi hipertensi terus meningkat, terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia, akibat faktor gaya hidup yang tidak sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara peran keluarga dan motivasi pasien dengan kepatuhan berobat pada pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Binanga, Kecamatan Mamuju. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pasien hipertensi rawat jalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran keluarga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan berobat pasien hipertensi. Pasien yang mendapat dukungan keluarga lebih cenderung mematuhi jadwal pemeriksaan rutin dibandingkan dengan pasien yang tidak didukung keluarganya. Selain itu, motivasi pasien juga berperan penting dalam menentukan kepatuhan pengobatan. Pasien dengan tingkat motivasi tinggi lebih berkomitmen dalam menjalani terapi dan kontrol kesehatan secara rutin. Oleh karena itu, dukungan keluarga dan peningkatan motivasi pasien perlu diperhatikan dalam intervensi kesehatan guna meningkatkan kepatuhan pengobatan dan mencegah komplikasi akibat hipertensi.
