Abstract

The quality of the close relationship between parents and children is difficult for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Many parents do not have the communication competence to build strong interaction with autistic children, which causes interaction patterns at home to be inappropriate. This study aims to determine the influence of communication competence on the relationship quality of parents and children, determine the effect of family communication patterns on the relationship quality of parents and children, determine the effect of family communication patterns on relational maintenance behaviour, determine the effect of relational maintenance behaviour on relationship quality of parents and children, determine the role of relational maintenance behaviour as a mediator of the influence between communication competence and family communication patterns on the quality of the relationship between parents and children. This study uses quantitative research methods with survey methods and purposive sampling techniques. The results of the sample (N=202) indicate that communication competence significantly affects the quality of the relationship between parents and children, family communication patterns significantly affect the quality of the relationship between parents and children, family communication patterns significantly affect relational maintenance behaviour, and relational maintenance behaviour significantly affects the relationship on the quality of the relationship between parents and children, and relational maintenance significantly mediates the influence between communication competence and family communication patterns on the quality of the relationship between parents and children.

Abstract

The Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) membahas bagaimana situasiyang terjadi saat krisis memengaruhi atribusi publik tentang krisis dan reputasi organisasi.Kriyantono (2017, h. 189) menyebut pada dasarnya publik memiliki atribusi tertentu tentangkrisis yang akan menentukan baik atau buruknya suatu organisasi. Atribusi merupakanperspektif, komentar, atau pandangan publik terhadap peristiwa krisis yang sedang dialamioleh organisasi. Maka teori SCC memandang atribusi publik adalah aspek utama yang menjadikunci bagaimana citra organisasi dapat terselamatkan atau tidak. Hal-hal yang berkaitan dalammenentukan penilaian publik tentang peristiwa krisis yang sedang terjadi harus menjadiperhatian agar setiap melakukan tindakan atau mengambil keputusan tidak menjadiboomerang untuk organisasi. Kriyantono (2017, h. 189) menjelaskan bahwa kata-katasekaligus tindakan manajemen dapat memengaruhi bagaimana persepsi publik, selanjutnyapersepsi tersebut akan membentuk evaluasi terhadap organisasi. Persepsi mendasari responsemosional publik yang akan menentukan apakah hubungan interaksi antara keduanya dapatterus dipertahankan atau tidak di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The quality of the mother-child relationship is shaped by perceptions of closeness and satisfaction in family life. In recent times, many working mothers have faced challenges in maintaining effective family communication patterns, often leading to gender ideology disagreements about maternal roles and hindering relational quality. This study examines (1) the influence of family communication patterns on the relational quality of working mothers and children, (2) the impact of family communication patterns on gender ideology, and (3) the mediating role of gender ideology in shaping mother and child relational quality. Using a quantitative approach, survey data were collected from 157 working mothers through purposive sampling. Key measures included the Family Communication Patterns Instrument (FCPI) and the Gender Ideology Scale (GIS), analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Results indicate that only conversational family communication patterns, mediated by gender ideology, significantly influence mother-child relational quality. These findings highlight the critical role of gender ideology in fostering positive mother-child relationships and suggest the need for family communication strategies that address gender role expectations to support working mothers.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to enhance the brand awareness of Minyn Collection MSME products in Sembung Village, Tulungagung, through digital marketing communication training focusing on the use of TikTok. Minyn Collection, a clothing convection business, still faces challenges in reaching a broader market. The training was designed to provide both theoretical understanding and practical skills related to digital marketing strategies, content production, and the use of TikTok features as a promotional tool. The results show that participants gained improved understanding, motivation, and the ability to apply digital marketing directly. This program had a positive impact on increasing the competitiveness and presence of local products in the digital ecosystem. It is recommended that similar training be conducted continuously to optimally support the digital transformation of MSMEs.
