Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian berkelanjutan tentang pemberdayaan yang berbasis komunitas dalam bidang kesehatan yang sudah dimulai sejak tahun 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan proses penerapan dari rancangan pemberdayaan para kader lingkungan sebagai strategi untuk pemberantasan penyakit demam berdarah dengue di Kecamatan Sawahan Kelurahan Kupang Krajan Surabaya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang merupakan seri dari awal model penelitian etnografi karena akan ditindaklanjuti kembali di masa mendatang. Para informan adalah kader lingkungan dan pemangku wilayah di kecamatan Sawahan, Kelurahan Kupang Krajan. Metode pengumpulan data berbasis wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi foto dan rekaman, catatan lapangan. Analisa tematik digunakan untuk menggali aspek-aspek sosial budaya yang berkembang dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini juga mensinergikan pemaknaan teori pemberdayaan dari Rappaport (1987), Zimmerman dan Wandersman (2003) dengan teori The Interactive Systems Framework (ISF) of dissemination and implementation. Penelitian ini sekaligus menggali pemaknaan penerapan teori ISF yang hasilnya belum optimal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kurangnya optimalisasi intervensi komunitas dan kelemahan penerapan teori ISF bila dikaitkan dengan situasi sosial budaya dan konflik internal yang berdampak terhadap optimalisasi pelaksanaan intervensi komunitas. Dengan demikian rangkaian penelitian etnografi yang menggambarkan dinamika kehidupan warga masih harus dimaknai dan digali di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Abstract. Nurses have to serve patients intensively, and therefore, they face new challenges and require career adaptability. Career adaptability is the ability to self-regulate in the face of challenges in the work environment in order to solve problems flexibly, and experience career satisfaction and success. One of the factors that promote career adaptability is grit. Grit is an individual’s endurance to pursue an interest and efforts for long-term goals. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between grit and career adaptability among nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were 48 nurses in Surabaya aged 21 to 39 years old. They completed the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) and 12-Item Grit Scale. Kendall's tau-b correlation test was used for data analysis. Results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between grit and career adaptability Further studies should involve more participants working at hospitals in different regions of Indonesia.

Abstract

Phenomenological methodology is used to be able to map in detail about the individual's awareness and experience of an event that has been experienced or is being experienced from his/her point of view. Phenomenological philosophy, symbolic interactionism sociology and hermeneutics are the basis of the phenomenological method. The philosophical view of phenomenology raises the individual's experience of the phenomenon that becomes a picture of himself/herself about an event. Symbolic meanings and values ​​that influence patterns of thinking and behavior in the context of individual development determine his/her choices. Individuals provide an understanding of their world and social interactions. In the context of education, individuals can be understood through self, but have a complex relationship with their social environment to be able to adapt and understand what is really happening and the meaning of achieving academically and their social skills.
