Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to examine emotional changes among pregnant women in Kelurahan Dupak, Surabaya, and to implement a psychoeducational intervention designed to improve emotional awareness and self-regulation during pregnancy. This community-based psychological program aimed to identify psychological issues associated with pregnancy—such as mood instability, anxiety, and emotional confusion—and to strengthen mothers’ mental health literacy and coping abilities through preventive education in primary care settings. Materials and Methods. This study adopted a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach through interviews, observations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and psychological screening using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). Twenty-eight pregnant women aged 19–38 participated, and ten of them scored ≥13 on the EPDS, indicating symptoms of prenatal anxiety or depression. The intervention consisted of psychoeducational sessions on emotional changes, triggers, and self-regulation strategies, including stress awareness and relaxation practices. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests to measure changes in understanding and emotional management. Results. The findings revealed that most participants experienced emotional instability, excessive worry, and difficulty managing stress due to hormonal changes, cultural expectations, and limited mental health knowledge. Post-intervention data showed a significant improvement in understanding emotional regulation, with post-test mean scores (M = 8.5) higher than pre-test (M = 4.0), t(9) = –12.075, p = 0.000. Participants reported feeling calmer, more supported, and more confident in expressing emotions. Conclusions. Psychoeducational interventions effectively enhanced maternal emotional awareness and reduced anxiety during pregnancy. Integrating mental health education into maternal programs, involving partners, and encouraging routine psychological screening are recommended to support sustainable community mental health. Abstract

Abstract Teacher commitment is a critical factor in the success of educational outcomes. However, a significant number of teachers continue to exhibit low levels of commitment, as reflected in limited involvement in student mentoring, inadequate preparation for teaching and learning activities, poor adherence to school regulations, and a tendency to seek alternative employment outside the teaching profession. This lack of commitment is believed to be influenced by various factors, including the organizational climate and job satisfaction. This study aims to investigate the relationship between organizational climate and job satisfaction with teacher commitment. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, using total sampling of 125 high school teachers in Menganti District, Gresik. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s Rho test with the assistance of SPSS 26 for Windows. The findings reveal that both organizational climate and job satisfaction are positively and significantly correlated with teacher commitment. These results highlight the importance of cultivating a supportive organizational climate and enhancing job satisfaction as strategies to reinforce teachers’ commitment to their schools. Keywords: Teacher, Teacher Commitment, Organizational Climate, Job Satisfaction Abstrak Komitmen guru berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pendidikan, namun masih banyak guru yang menunjukkan rendahnya komitmen, seperti minimnya keterlibatan dalam membimbing siswa, kurangnya kesiapan guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran, kurangnya kepatuhan terhadap aturan sekolah dan guru yang justru mencari peluang kerja lain di luar profesi guru. Komitmen ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah termuat hubungan antara iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja dengan komitmen guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik total sampling terhadap 125 guru SMA di Kecamatan Menganti, Gresik. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Spearman Rho dengan bantuan SPSS 26 for windows. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa baik iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan komitmen guru. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya membangun iklim kerja yang positif dan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja guna memperkuat komitmen guru terhadap sekolah. Abstract

Meningkatnya intensitas penggunaan media sosial di kalangan mahasiswa membuka peluang munculnya berbagai bentuk perilaku menyimpang, salah satunya adalah cyberbullying. Salah satu aspek psikologis yang diduga memiliki keterkaitan dengan perilaku tersebut ialah empati digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara empati digital dan perilaku cyberbullying pada mahasiswa yang aktif menggunakan media sosial di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 304 mahasiswa pengguna aktif media sosial di Surabaya yang diperoleh melalui teknik snowball sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat empati digital dan kecenderungan cyberbullying. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman’s Rho. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara empati digital dan cyberbullying. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi empati digital yang dimiliki mahasiswa pengguna aktif media sosial di Surabaya, maka semakin rendah kecenderungan mereka untuk melakukan cyberbullying. Sebaliknya, rendahnya empati digital berkaitan dengan meningkatnya kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam upaya pencegahan cyberbullying melalui penguatan empati digital pada mahasiswa.
