Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan KIT IPA materi gerak berbasis Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). KIT IPA ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP, khususnya pada materi Gerak dan Gaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D, yang terdiri dari tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Tahap awal melibatkan analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran, termasuk keterbatasan bahan ajar konvensional dan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis dan memecahkan masalah. Pada tahap desain, KIT IPA dirancang berbasis Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan STEM. Tahap pengembangan mencakup validasi oleh ahli dan uji coba terbatas untuk menilai kepraktisan dan kelayakan produk, dengan rata-rata skor validasi 3.76 (Sangat Baik) untuk modul ajar dan 3.72 (Sangat Baik) untuk lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Respon guru dan rekan sejawat terhadap perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan rata-rata skor 3.70 (Sangat Baik). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan KIT IPA ini efektif dalam pembelajaran. KIT IPA ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif, mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan memecahkan masalah melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance human resource quality at SMPN 6 Mataram through the implementation of project-based learning. Project-based learning focuses on engaging students in solving real-world problems, allowing them to develop not only academic skills but also practical experience in project management and teamwork. The program was implemented in several stages: planning, execution, and evaluation, with students actively involved in each phase. The results showed significant improvements in students' project management and teamwork skills. Additionally, the program had a positive impact on students' engagement in learning and opened up better future prospects for them. Overall, project-based learning has proven to be an effective strategy for improving human resource quality in the educational environment, especially at SMPN 6 Mataram.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in enhancing critical thinking skills in science education, focusing on research published from 2019 to 2024. The primary objective is to analyze trends in the literature related to PjBL and its impact on students' critical thinking, with an emphasis on integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. A bibliometric approach was used, analyzing data from academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar, using tools like Publish or Perish 8 and VOSviewer. The results show a significant increase in publications on PjBL, particularly regarding critical thinking and STEM integration. Key themes such as problem-solving, collaboration, and the use of digital tools have gained prominence. The study also highlights the growing interest in technology-enhanced PjBL, especially in hybrid and online learning environments. PjBL is shown to effectively foster critical thinking by engaging students in real-world, inquiry-based projects. Future research should explore the role of digital tools in PjBL and its long-term impact on students' problem-solving abilities.
